I saw some posts and accounts that really bummed me out tonight. Some people are so proud to be transphobic and it’s disgusting. I’m terrified that I accidentally follow some TERFS without realizing it.

Bro no offense but... I think the way tumblr treats alters as completely separate people is part of the reason DID/OSDD is so misunderstood. It’s so focused on individuality between alters that you can give yourself such a massive switch headache trying to keep everyone separated. Co-con is a thing. Co-fronting is a thing. Overlap in personality traits /similar style between alters? Definitely a thing! It’s okay to be different but you don’t have to exaggerate who you are for the sake of standing out. Focus on the healing process, and be kind to yourself and your system. Thank you 🌻

*realizing more and more symptoms and things that you thought were normal but actually are considered symptoms of very serious disorders, but not being able to do anything or tell anyone because itll sound like you're just constantly coming up with new stuff to get you attention when in reality you just want to share them because it might give you clarity/validation but your fear as being seen as an attention seeker holds you back*

parents hit/ berate/ neglect their kids and some of y’all still defending them saying “they might be under a lot of stress/they’re a single parent” or “they did the best with what they had” and any other variation of “parenting is hard!” like.....and?? that’s not a reason to abuse your kids??????
you knew parenting was hard before you had kids. you knew they cost money, you knew they would take up a lot of time, etc. any goddamn pet you’ve had would’ve told you that. i’m so tired of seeing parents “joking” about how their children are the causes of all their problems in life/how they’re so irritating and a lot to deal with. guess what? children hear things, whether you mean for them to or not. how would you feel if someone who was supposed to love you unconditionally said you were the main cause for their stress? for their anger? that you irritated them beyond belief? that they wish you’d just never speak again? do you understand how badly that fucks a child up? that child is probably going to suffer in silence and try to isolate themselves completely because ‘hey... when i wasn’t even having trouble i was still a nuisance’’. you’re traumatizing and stunting your kids emotionally. if you can’t handle everything that comes with a child, don’t have one.
okay but like, 61% of trans adolescents have experienced suicidal ideation. if they have unaccepting parents, trans teens are 8 times more likely to attempt suicide. transphobic parents are literally killing their children because of their own selfish ideas and they should all be ashamed.
