"You sure?" he asked her with a concerned tone still looming over his words, noticing the foreign accent in her words. Feeling the rain drip onto the back of his neck, his head turned to the side, looking up to the sky to see the dark gray clouds above.
Shaking her delicate hand without hesitation, he nodded as politely as he could given the circumstances, glancing into her eyes for just a moment. "It's Chris, actually. And yeah, moved here not too long ago. It's just been a while since I got some fresh air," he admitted, sheltering himself inside his own apartment complex after what happened back home. He couldn't bring himself to see another face, couldn't bare to be civil after the world was ripped from his palm.
"Yeah, good idea," he nodded. "We gotta find a place away from the rain. It's gonna start pouring down fast soon, just you watch. So it's either we go now, or your hair is gonna be the last thing you're gonna be worried about," he told her, his voice sarcastic, a real smart ass tone in what he told her with a small chuckle at the end.
