★ Emily is 26. She is six years older than Haley, hence why the two sisters never seem to see eye-to-eye. She attended community college, earning her associate degree in fashion design. Though she was accepted to university, her parents abruptly left home on their never-ending traveling. So Emily moved back to Pelican Town to watch over her sister, then 14-year-old Haley. With a fully developed prefrontal cortex, Emily doesn't worry herself with how she is perceived, unlike Haley. Instead, she busies herself with her passion projects of sewing and building her knowledge of crystals and their healing properties.

★ Maru is freshly 21, which Demetrius likes to act isn't true. Like Sebastian, Maru graduated high school a year early. She wanted to go straight to university after high school; however, her father did not allow her, not liking the idea of Maru leaving the safety of Pelican Town for the city. To appease her father, she got an associate's degree in nursing to stay close to home, working at Harvey's clinic. However, Maru remains intrigued with engineering and astronomy, and is considering going back to university to pursue aerospace engineering.

★ Haley is 20. She is a few months older than Alex. She is not currently in college as she cannot for the life of her figure out what it is she wants to pursue in life. Haley dreams of pursuing photography, but knows in her heart of hearts that it is unrealistic of her to become successful as a photographer, which might disappoint her parents. She has not seen her mother and father in quite some time, and the idea of disappointing them is something that rests heavily on her shoulders as she is someone who has been perceived as "perfect" for most of her life, though much of this attention is vain as her beauty often overshadows her intellect.

★ Penny is 20, though she is only a month older than Abigail and a month behind Haley. She did fairly well in school, except for her spotty grades in the months where she would have to prioritize caring for her home and mother over her studies. She attended a community college in Grampleton for two years, where she got an associate degree in childhood development and English. Unable to continue her education at university, Penny makes up for it by acting as a teacher for Vincent and Jas. Penny loves teaching the kids the wonders of reading and feeding into their curious, ever-growing minds, but wishes she could leave Pelican Town. If only she could, but worries of what might happen to her mother Pam if she goes away.

★ Abigail is 19. She is the youngest of her trio, originally introduced into the duo by Sebastian—who totally has a crush on her that started in high school. Abigail expressed no interest in attending college when her father, Pierre, asked her about it, but applied to community college anyway when he wouldn't stop pestering her about it. Like most 19-year-old girls, Abigail gets a kick out of adventure and disobeying her parents, hence why she enjoys playing video games, hanging out at the saloon with Sam and Sebastian, and practicing her swordsmanship, even sneaking into the old mines a few times.

★ Shane is 30. He dropped out of college at 21 after he tore his ACL and lost his gridball scholarship. This loss drove him into a deep depression, where he turned to alcohol to cope. At 28, his childhood best friend died, leaving behind her daughter Jas. Shane, as Jas' godfather, he had to step up to the plate. With this sudden responsibility—a depressed alcoholic in no condition to raise a little girl—, Shane moved back to Pelican Town to live with his aunt Marnie on her farm.

★ Elliot is 29. He graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in English literature and a minor in philosophy. Elliot spent a few years living in Zuzu City, where he wrote amateur stories and tried to hone his craft. He moved to Pelican Town at 27, building the shack on the beach with some assistance from the local carpenter, Robin. He is a city boy and thought the small-town adventure could lead him to the path of his debut novel. Really, he is having a "midlife crisis" at the fact that he is almost 30 and not a renowned author yet.

★ Sebastian is 22, almost 23. He graduated at 20 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. He graduated high school early at 17 because he skipped a grade and enrolled in community college as soon as he could. He could've gone to university with his grades, though knew he could not afford it—assuming his mom and Demetrius would rather put that money into Maru's education. His parents don't understand computer science and just think he's been rotting away in the basement unemployed for the past two years. Though Sebastian is actually making hundreds a week as a freelance programmer.

★ Sam is 20, nearly 21, but mentally he is still 16. He barely graduated high school and tried going to community college for a degree in music composition. But unfortunately for Sam, he has undiagnosed ADHD that really got in the way of his studies. He doesn't understand why he is the way he is, and it upsets him that his mother, Jodi, worries constantly about him. Though he tries to drown away these thoughts with his natural sunshine personality, putting most of his effort into skating and his band, the Pelicans.

★ Alex is 19. He graduated from high school a year ago, expecting to go to university with a scholarship in gridball. However, his lack of resources holds him back. Granny and George don't make nearly enough, and Alex only has a seasonal job at the ice cream stand during the summer. He's still holding onto the idea that he'll be able to go to university for gridball, but even he knows it's delusional. Alex would never admit that though. Currently, he is enrolled in a community college in Grampleton, still waiting to hear if his transfer to Zuzu City University was accepted.
