sometimes i remember how max said that if daniel passes him at the start in monza he will defend him from the rest of the gird and bunch up the pack and im so taken aback by that. what do you mean max verstappen, who lives and breathes racing and has no other drive but to win just offered to not fight. he's made a man finish in p7 out of pure spite. and he just offered his softest belly to daniel. where is that post how he never bites when it's daniel holding him please. he is only ever soft when it's daniel's hands

What struck me most about the daniel interview was him saying one of the hardest parts about choosing to retire was having people still believe he had it in him, and for him to come to the realization that he wasn't "really going to get it back" (his words). He says those final years left him exhausted and that he was "grateful" they made the decision for him, and that for whatever reason he'd "lost a little bit of something". I think we all kind of knew this as fans, but it pains me to think about the conversations and lived experiences that lead someone to make such a drastic conclusion and talk about it with such finality. He's visibly happier, but it still breaks my heart 💔

the podcast is really worth a watch imo, he's very genuine in it (also the ford ceo is oddly welcoming and fangirly? Go off jim farley we love to see a dirlie thrive lol)

Verstappen fans must be a social experiment at this point right? Like getting mad at Danny for his "cursed" number and blaming him and it for Max's DSQ and DNFs this month. And insisting he can have it back like he somehow forced Max into having it; even though it's well known he wanted number 3 when he started his career and made the choice to switch to it when he lost the championship.

truth be told I don't know how long I'll be back/I'll be gone again just because I've been relapsing into some food stuff and I've been really thoroughly limiting my social media use until I get it under control. I'm definitely doing better than like a month ago but I'm also totally still in the Trenches™ so I apologize to all you lovely people but I don't have a really clear timeline :/ I definitely intend to finish my creative projects (read: drooling au), I've just been in a bad spot mentally and I feel like I wouldn't do it justice rn

im just going to rant about this for a sec so just take this as screaming into the void because that's really what this is and i just wanna get this off my chest but being in this fandom has been SO insanely triggering to me for the past two weeks or so??

obviously this is all me being ill™ and none of my mutuals should take it as criticism but I remember recently coming across a side-by-side of Daniel's arm at mclaren and Daniel's arm at the ford launch event and my brain immediately registered the second pic as fatspo?? Like I know logically he's looking so much healthier and that's better but I guess the side-by-side just fucked with the part of my brain that needs everything to be small because after seeing that post I felt lowkey disgusted at current pics of daniel. Which was like. A first for me because I usually find him insanely attractive but also if I do externalize my illness it's usually aimed at women so idk

And then a few hours ago I saw that Daniel quote about having a nice dinner as a reward for doing well during the day and IMMEDIATELY i was so so triggered
