WHAT WILL YOU NOT WRITE?
Anything sexual. I'm fine with making characters flirty, making crude jokes, implying sexual acts but writing it out isn't something i'm comfortable with. And also, writing proships. I'd never do it. So please don't beg for anything like these! Another thing is poly ships, but not because of the aspect of polyamory! I’m not good at writing out equal-love for everyone or I tend to make mistakes by focusing too much on one character and leaving the rest, hopefully in the future I’ll be better at it though!
WHAT WILL YOU WRITE, THEN?
Angst, fluff, x readers, character x characters (as long as it's legal), gore, etc. I will also write heavy topics, but i'll be sure to put a warning beforehand on each post if there's any heavy topics!
finally back from writer's block... requests will be fulfilled soon and fics will be updated asap!!
also, i read After School Lessons For Unripe Apples recently due to an artist i really like. Best decision ever!!! If you guys have any requests for them, please do let me know... I wanna try write something for those characters!
Thank you for supporting my writings and drawings even while i've bene away!
I just fell in love with a war, come back the kids miss you 🤧
Well,, since you asked so nicely... Look for a chapter coming out soon late jan/early feb!! mocks are KILLING MEEE.. but this story kills me more... In a good way!
While we're talking about it... Does anyone have any preferences on who to meet/talk to next?! After chapter 5, that is!! I'll take requests into consideration and sneak whatever references you guys want.. I love implementing random things!
Sorry for disturbing you but do you have any saiki k requests? I wanted to request but I don't remember if I did or not 😅 Only if you don't mind of course! Thanks!
Right now… I have no requests!!! Other than one request asking me to continue my fic (WHICH I AM, FOR ANY “I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH A WAR” FOLLOWERS !!)
Also, I would never mind!! I love requests, even if the same one is placed into my inbox 100x… it makes me feel like a true writer. LOL!! (Also, it’s impossible to disturb me… I’m too nonchalant 🩷)
Hii! Any chance you could write some platonic saiki k with a younger sister reader? Like she's very young and super attached to him. She thinks he's super cool and follows him around every where lol😭
KUSUO SAIKI AND HIS LITTLE SISTER, (NAME) SAIKI !!
Having a little sister was a bit unexpected, he didn't think his parents even wanted more than two kids.
Let alone more than one kid... But here he is, he supposed.
You and Saiki are incredibly close, considering the fact that you aren't jealous of him, like your eldest brother.
You're a few years younger than him, so you both are in different schools. You're in middle, while he's in high school.
You often ditch class to hang out with him and his friends at school.
(He doesn't appreciate it, so he sends you back to class whenever you're done making a ruckus.)
Saiki, despite claiming nonchalance for everything, does feel protective over you.
But it's not like the "Touch my sister, and you die!" type of protective.
It's more like he wants to watch you grow up, healthy, at the very least. Maybe see you have your own group of friends you'll get annoyed by everyday.
He makes sure you don't get hurt, even if it's as feeble as tripping.
Though... That made you a bit spoiled once you clicked together that Saiki was psychic as a little kid.
Whenever you copy him, he acts annoyed, but he secretly enjoys that someone genuinely looks up to him. Even if that means he stands out a bit more than others.
You two eat coffee jelly together, you both are strangely... very addicted to it.
On days where you're obviously upset, Saiki always tries to make you feel better.
In his subtle way, of course.
Like getting lucky while walking and finding a hundred bucks on the sidewalk, or being given a free coffee jelly voucher by being the 1014th customer, etc.
His friends like you, but he thinks most of them are a horrible influence for you. Even with that mindset, he's happy to let you tag along whenever the group hangs out.
(He once used his powers to get Toritsuka tossed onto a real life bull when he was getting too close to you.)
When you were upset about the fact there's other psychics, he didn't know what to do exactly. You disliked the fact you weren't a psychic like him.
It wasn't jealousy, it was the feeling of being left out. You wanted to be like your brother so badly, but you never will, because you're nothing like him.
Saiki listened to you when you cried about it to him, and it's not like he could change around some genetics to make you psychic— or, well, he could, but he didn't want you to bear the burden.
Instead, he held your hand and took you to your favourite ice cream shop, that one niche one in the middle of no where.
But instead of teleporting, you two walked there. Like two normal people. Because he told you,
"It doesn't matter if you can't be like me, I'll always be trying to be like you. That's enough."
Then did his classic, 'yare, yare'. He never could show so much care without being a little annoyed, could he?
He loves you a lot, but not more than you. Because he knows his little sister will forever love him even more. It's hard to compete with you...
thank you for the request, anon! i loved this one, it's so nice to write for the saiki k franchise again !!!! I'll be writing a full story for them soon, so I hope this is okay while you wait! It has a few hints about what the story will be about :)
SUMMARY — Nam-gyu fails to die, so now he's stuck in the psychward. He meets Man-cheon and Da-eun.
WORD COUNT — 5.3K
WARNINGS — Attempted suicide, misogyny.
Gripping onto the bridge’s railing, he stared down at the water.
Everything that’s happened, it was real. Everyone he’s witnessed die, the people he killed, the money he took… It was all real. How the hell did he even win? How did he manage to get out?
Nam-gyu’s breathing began to quicken, his hands gripping onto the railing even tighter, his rings marking the underside of his fingers as it pressed even harder into his skin. This had to be fake, this had to be another test. They’re trying to catch him off guard, they’ve released Nam-gyu so he wastes all the money, they want him to act selfish and waste it all, they’ll pin him as a thief. He wasn’t going to fall for it. He won’t. He won’t.
“My bro! What’s with that face?” Thanos asked, sitting on the railing as he watched Nam-gyu contemplate on what to do with his position. He moved his hand towards Nam-gyu’s hair, playing with a strand with his finger, when in truth it was the wind blowing against his hair. “You won’t end up dying like us, are you, my Nam-su?” He asked all of a sudden, moving around so he laid down on his stomach on top of the railing. For Thanos, gravity no longer existed.
“Why would he die? It’s not like he deserves to. A bastard like him deserves to get tortured.” Se-mi butted in, scoffing as she leaned against the railing. Staring at Thanos who grinned her way, causing her to frown. His smile fell after a few seconds but they both simultaneously moved their eyes towards Nam-gyu, the man not responding.
“We really shouldn’t say things like– Nevermind. Go on…” Gyeong-su had shut himself up quickly, whistling as Se-mi shot him a glare for trying to put down her opinions. He was the first to come to life in Nam-gyu’s visions, starting off as a voice before he became his own person. Nam-gyu didn’t understand why Gyeong-su went to him, and not to Thanos. But maybe it was the boy’s underlying feeling that Thanos was going to die soon, so what was the point of hanging around someone who’ll die?
Meanwhile, Min-su stared at the ocean, the same way Nam-gyu did. His hand slowly moving towards the back of his head. He remembers how he died, how frustrated Nam-gyu was with him. The man had bashed his head into multiple things until he bled out and died. Clearing his throat, he averted his eyes away from the ocean, the body of water reminding him of the pool of blood that surrounded his head.
…
Reminding him? Or was it reminding Nam-gyu?
The ring-baring man had been staring endlessly at Min-su, who didn’t move his eyes away from the ocean until Nam-gyu’s eyes had moved towards his injury.
He was the cause of all their deaths– save for Thanos, he assisted with killing Gyeong-su in a way too. Myung-gi didn’t die from his hands, but he wished he could’ve been the one to do it. He killed some randoms too, not bothering to look at their face as he stabbed them with shards of glass. He remembers one of them being someone who wanted a picture with Thanos.
They weren’t here though. It was a bit weird.
Nam-gyu still didn’t speak to them, the roads behind him were empty, so nobody could attempt to “save” him.
He needed to save himself. For death is a source of freedom, a way out of this sick game that hasn’t ended.
The raven-coloured boy shifted his grip on the railing, slipping his feet out of his shoes messily, he didn’t care to be neat when he’s about to die. His feet stepped onto the little bar at the bottom, giving him a bit of height as he slung his left leg over the fencing. His hands gripping onto the railing, as if he didn’t want to die from slipping off. He brought his other leg up and sat down on the railing. His friend, a bitch and the two idiots he actually began to like over time sat next to him too.
“I’m going to escape.” Nam-gyu muttered, looking down at the sea that whispered his name. Urging him to come land in it’s warmth, to experience what it felt to be hugged once more. One more time, before he died, the ocean would replicate the warmth his mother had given him when she hugged him after he came from school.
How could he end up like this?
He was a kid like everyone else, he had dreams like everyone else too. He was sporty too. He loved playing soccer with his friends, he loved going to watch movies with his friends, he loved eating out with family, so why was he here and not at home with his mum and dad?
“If you’re going to die, then die already, god…” Se-mi interrupted his train of thought, rolling her eyes as he glared at her, his grip tightening even more as he wished he could kill her again. Damn bitch.
“Se-mi..” Min-su muttered, not daring to touch her to tell her to stop. He knows she could probably kill him. Even if he’s a ghost… He got a grin from her side though, which made him smile. The two of them had reconciled, even if they were just figments of Nam-gyu’s imagination. They had their own ending.
Suddenly, the sound of police and an ambulance came. The ghosts of the people he knew disappeared, all of them.
Fucking bastards, they’re leaving me now?! Nam-gyu cursed them out mentally, trying to find where the sound was coming from, but he reacted too late, the police and ambulance sounds stopped right where he was, people rushing out as he stared from on top of the railing.
“Sir– sir. Can you please come down?” One of the police officers asked, their hands out and walking towards Nam-gyu slowly. He raised an eyebrow towards them, why the hell were they treating him like a suicidal maniac? What? Is he gonna go kill himself just because they’re here? Fuck that. He’s petty, he’ll just scare them.
“Come down?” He asked, his voice rough. “Okay. I’ll come down.” He began to push himself off the railing slowly, teasing in a way.
“SIR!” The officer yelled, the other rushing towards Nam-gyu to grab him before he could slip off. The man yelped as he was roughly pulled off by a more muscular police officer.
“What the fuck!? Can a bitch like you not take a joke!?” He screamed, pointing at the female officer who was trying to get him to come down, “Let go of me, for fuck’s sake! This is illegal, why the fuck are you touching me!? I can get you fucked over for this– LET GO OF ME!” Nam-gyu kept screaming, the police officer eventually letting him go.
“Sir– we need you to come with us, we received a report and you’re clearly not in the right mental state to be here.” The muscular police officer told, trying to calm Nam-gyu as the EMTs left their vehicle to help Nam-gyu into the back of the ambulance once he agreed.
“The fuck you mean I’m not in the right mental state?! Are you calling me insane? Wowww.. You know?--” He laughed with no genuine excitement, it was more of a mocking laugh. “--I honestly expected that. Women like you always act so sensitively, just because I’m sitting on the railing doesn’t mean I’m gonna kill myself! How could you even be a police officer? You’re too sensitive for this job, next thing you know is that you’re going to be saying I slit my wrists for fun! Well here! Here, check!” He yelled, pulling his sleeves up and shoving his right wrist into her face, focusing more on the woman than the officer who was just talking to him.
“Is there anything? Huh? Anything at all? NO! Because I’m FINE!” He screamed in her face, the other officer butting in as he roughly grabbed Nam-gyu from getting closer to his co-worker. “ME? Crazy? I’ll fucking tell you who’s crazy, this stupid bitch over here! The hell are you touching me for again!?” He yelled, trying to get out of the officer’s grip but the EMTs had moved towards them to help put him into the ambulance. They laid him down onto the stretcher inside the ambulance and quickly put the safety belts over his body as he thrashed around.
His yelling didn’t scare anyone, he wasn’t able to strike fear into people anymore. It’s not like he was still in the games anymore, but his mind told him otherwise. In the shell of a body his soul resides in, his blood flows through his innards with the memories of the people he once knew and witness die.
The stress he was feeling from being touched by so many people and forced down was climbing up his body, making him fall unconscious from how sick he was beginning to feel as he realised that this was really happening. These bastards were going to send him into some sort of insane asylum.
It had been about four hours since he had passed out, Nam-gyu hadn’t been sleeping properly before he had tried to kill himself. So when he woke up, he was out of it, his eyesight blurry and his head spinning from how quickly he sat up. Surprisingly, he wasn’t strapped down to the bed he was in. But he wasn’t in a hospital, the room looked far too different. It was white, padded too. It looked familiar but he couldn’t remember why from his drowsiness. Nam-gyu looked around a bit more, rubbing his eyes as he realised he had a different outfit on now. A white long sleeve shirt and pants, with words lined downwards that he didn’t bother to read.
Staring down at his clothes, his eyes slowly widened in realisation. There is no fucking way.
Standing up abruptly, he tried to figure out what’s going on, frantically look around. He spotted the camera in the corner of his room, squinting at it before snapping his head towards the door that opened suddenly. A man walked in, smiling at Nam-gyu. He looked older than Nam-gyu, that’s all the man could figure out.
“You’re awake, are you doing okay? You were out for a while, maybe you should sit down.” The nurse suggested, to which Nam-gyu silently followed. He was trying to figure out this guy’s character already. He used to never do this, he just did shit mindlessly, but after everything…
He was forced to, for his own sanity.
“Yeah. Sleepy.” He muttered, his hands going up to his head to push back his hair until it was behind his ears. The man just making himself comfortable in his new environment, his temporary environment. Because there was no way in hell that he was staying here.
“Haha! I understand. I’m sleepy sometimes too, how are you feeling?” He asked, walking towards Nam-gyu and smiling down at the boy, which irked him immediately.
He’s looking down at me already, isn’t he? It’s this shitty outfit. That’s why. Nam-gyu thought to himself, snarling at the man mentally as he bit back his words, having to behave otherwise another scene would break out, like in the morning. Roh pulled his sleeves downwards a bit, a habit of his as he pondered on answering truthfully or lying.
“I’m better. Sleeping helps, you know, dude?” Nam-gyu tested out the waters, lying through his teeth. Testing out the informal tone with the older man to see how he acted towards people like him. Staring him down until he would need to respond. The jelly-cut boy had to be careful with everything he did now, hell knows what these people would do to him.
“Oh, I do. Don’t tell the others, but… Sometimes I sneak off to take a little nap, hehe.” He winked at him, before his smile brightened even more, looking down at his clipboard and quickly jotting something down. Something Nam-gyu wouldn’t be able to see, which made the man even more anxious. What was this old ass even writing about him? His hair? His looks? His words? God, he wanted to rip that clipboard out of his hands and into this guy’s neck, he’s looking down at him for sure. “Before I forget, a psychiatrist is coming personally to talk to you, since you didn’t get a consultation before you were admitted here. Sorry about that.” The older man apologised.
“Do you want me to bring you anything though? You’ll have to be here for a bit until the doctor comes.” He explained, tucking the board under his arm and watching Nam-gyu for any discomfort presented in his body or speech. He had to note everything about his patients, in order to prevent incidents. Another thing was to be polite and not feed into anything that could cause them to become aggressive, be a pacifist is what he reminded himself. It wasn’t like he was an aggressive man either, he just always had to make sure he wasn’t saying anything odd that could insult someone.
“...No.” Nam-gyu responded, drawing his legs up onto the bed and crossing his legs. “You can go.” He added on, moving so his back was pressed against the small headboard of his bed. Staring at the wall, seemingly thinking. Yoon Man-cheon could understand him, suddenly waking up in a white padded room in completely different clothes after having a breakdown could really confuse someone, or enrage them. So he left with a small ‘take care! I’ll see you in a bit!’ and gave Nam-gyu a tiny childish wave. He noted how the boy’s eyes had narrowed at that little gesture. Maybe he didn’t like that type of behaviour.
Nam-gyu watched the man leave and snap his head towards the people he knew. They were back, the ghost of his former friend, and the ghosts of his weird friends… Teammates?
“Where the hell were you?” He whisper-yelled, in a scolding tone as he took in everyone’s sudden appearance, they were watching his conversation for the last two minutes. He saw them when the old man mentioned sneaking off to take a nap.
“Sometimes, bro, you gotta just take a little nap! Don’t be too mad~ we were just a bit tired. Right, my boy?” Thanos waved Nam-gyu off, wrapping his arm around Min-su’s shoulders. The smaller boy’s face contorting into a face of discomfort before looking towards Se-mi, who didn’t give a reaction. Nam-gyu rolled his eyes at their proximity, muttering a small ‘seriously?’ before he crossed his arms.
“Why are you looking at us like that? You did this to yourself, I mean, why the hell did you really try to kill yourself? You’re just plain stupid.” Se-mi judged, copying Nam-gyu by rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. She was sat near the door. Which irked Nam-gyu, if she wanted, she could just float on out of here, every time he saw her, he got more and more irritated. Instead of responding normally, he raised his voice a bit louder, throwing a few insults at her.
What he had forgotten was that a camera was watching.
Through the other side of the camera, a few nurses were watching, one nurse having caught sight of their newcomer, Roh Nam-gyu, suddenly talking to someone despite the fact Man-cheon having left already. She had turned up the audio a bit and called another nurse over to figure out if there was someone or if this patient could possibly have schizophrenia or some similar mental illness from how he talked.
“I don’t think there’s anyone, Ms Park…” Da-eun replied to the woman’s query, staring at the screen before glancing at her. Man-cheon suddenly appeared, both nurses looking up to see who it was when he had entered. Soo-yeon called him over.
“Hey, Man-cheon, do you see anyone or anything in the room? Did you give him a phone?” She asked, just to double check if there was anything passed over since she wasn’t watching the interaction between the two men. However Man-cheon paused, before slowly shaking his head with a small pout, obvious that he was both observing Nam-gyu’s behaviour and their interaction from a few seconds ago. It was obvious that Nam-gyu was dealing with some sort of issue with how he talked to the air like somebody occupied the room with him.
“He’s acting a bit aggressive towards some… Spots? Should I go in and calm him down, Ms Park?” Da-eun brought up suddenly, a bit concerned for the new patient as he had immediately reminded her of someone she knew. His face resembled the boy’s, his attitude? Not so much, as Kim Seo-wan was much more polite with his speech unless he was rudely provoked. The thought of him caused her eyes to soften at the screen, the feeling of longing filling her heart up. Da-eun hoped he was in a better place now.
“No, unless he starts acting violent or destructive, we should leave him until the doctors come…” Soo-yeon replied, glancing at Man-cheon who gave a nod and thumbs up, agreeing with her opinion. With how he saw it, Nam-gyu was extremely stressed. It was understandable, but the way he coped was interesting, he was yelling at a wall but Man-cheon guessed that he could see someone there. Does he deal with his frustrations by yelling at people? It would explain the situation at the bridge that the police had informed the hospital about.
The oldest out of the three nurses kept staring at the screen, at how Nam-gyu continuously had a conversation with someone who seemed to exist in his eyes, but nobody else’s.
In a way, Man-cheon felt responsible. There was some sort of push and pull attraction from Nam-gyu, and he only felt like he was being reeled in.
Half an hour passes and the psychiatrist, alongside a doctor to do a check up on his physical health, had already had a chat with Nam-gyu. The man refusing to actually let the doctors know what was genuinely wrong with him, all he said was that he was okay, that he just had a meltdown because he was overworked. Making bullshit up on the spot so he could leave faster, he didn’t know how psychwards worked honestly, so he’s trying random shit to see if it works or not.
The doctors left him after the quick check ups, since it was useless to try push Nam-gyu to tell them things, but it was affirmed that he had to stay with how he acted at the bridge, with the officers and how he spoke to nobody in the room. The psychiatrist looked over the recording of the cameras, specifically the one with Nam-gyu to see what the nurses were talking about, watching and listening to how Nam-gyu spoke to no one.
“It could be something like schizophrenia, PTSD or some sort of psychotic depression.” Cheol-woo mumbled, crossing his arms and straightening himself up before brushing his hair back slightly. “I’m not sure though. Why didn’t you just have him come to my office? It would’ve been easier, maybe he would’ve felt more relaxed? He didn’t want to say anything about his health, apparently not even to the doctor that came to do a physical check up.” He asked before adding on about what the other doctor told him. Scratching the back of his ear as he looked over towards the nurses that had been watching Nam-gyu, which was Man-cheon and Soo-yeon. Da-eun had to attend to the other patients, so the two of them decided to keep an eye on Nam-gyu, more than the other nurses.
“Well– we felt like it was better to keep him in one area, the hospital already informed you about the whole… Situation in the morning right?” Man-cheon paused, double-checking if Cheol-woo knew or not, to which he got a nod of affirmation. “It might be better to let him adjust to one area first, then when it’s lunch we’ll bring him out.” He explained, having obviously been thinking about it a little.
Kong Cheol-woo nodded slowly.
“I suppose that would work.” He muttered, thinking about it for a second before nodding. “Yeah, okay. Call me if there’s anything else you need, I have a few people to see today!” Cheol-woo grinned, waving them goodbye as he walked away with his hands in his pockets, nodding towards any nurse that said hello so he could get back to his office and deal with more patients. Today wasn’t too busy, but there was still people.
“Are you sure about taking him out of the room? Shouldn’t we keep him in there?” Soo-yeon spoke up after a beat of silence, having been silent the entire conversation because she was thinking more about the decision that Man-cheon made than anything else. “It’ll stress him out.” She added on, fixing her hair as she spoke.
Man-cheon hummed, scratching the side of his jaw. “Just trust me on this one, okay? It might help him settle if we let him know there’s more people. He seemed tense with me too…” He explained, but it obvious that he wasn’t clinging onto the new patient, it was more of a curiosity that every nurse has experienced.
Soo-yeon stared for half a minute before sighing and nodding. “Okay, be careful though, senior.” She replied, moving towards another nurse to talk to them, mainly about the patients and who to check up for what today. Man-cheon watched her walk away before humming, going off to do his own duties as well. He knew when to stop pondering too much about a patient, sometimes, it’s better to think about some things later.
Meanwhile, Nam-gyu was bored out of his mind already. Laying flat on his back on the bed as he stared at the ceiling, listening to the rest of his group talk to eachother.
“How long do you think we’ll be here, even? What do you think Thanos?” Gyeong-su asked, looking at his idol for advice, smiling. The ghosts were sitting in a circle, apparently playing a card game. It was hard to tell what the game was, or what the cards were even. Were they using playing cards with lousy symbols on them? Or were they using branded cards, like Uno? The writing seemed weird to Nam-gyu, but to the ghosts, they seemed perfectly fine. Especially with how they were using it. So, Nam-gyu had resorted to watching the ceiling. Not being able to play, he wasn’t even in the mood either.
“Hmm… I don’t know, maybe three months? Maybe forever with Nam-su’s behaviour, hahah!!” He laughed, stopping his bellowing once Se-mi punched his shoulder to tell him that it was his turn, so he slapped a card down. Apparently it was a bad card for Se-mi with how she groaned and grabbed some other cards and looked at the next player, which was Min-su. The cycle kept going, Min-su, Gyeong-su, Thanos and then Se-mi.
“It’ll probably be forever with that asshole’s behaviour.” She rolled her eyes, watching Gyeong-su place his card down and Thanos groaning in displeasure, lazily picking up a card, and then another, and another… Their rule was to keep grabbing a card until they get a matching one. Guess it was Uno.
“Do you think they’ll get rid of us?” Min-su asked all of a sudden, the room going quiet as soon as he asked. It was so silent that you could hear the light air conditioner in the room buzzing, Nam-gyu slowly looked over at where Min-su was, sitting up. Min-su’s looked at Nam-gyu as soon as he heard the bed moving, his lips thinning in displeasure as Nam-gyu and Min-su mutually disliked each other, a lot. Maybe more than Se-mi’s hatred? It was hard to tell because they never fought again after Min-su’s death.
“What the hell do you mean get rid of you guys?” He asked, swinging his legs off the bed so his feet were on the ground while he sat, his hands fisting the edge of his bed.
“We’re in a mental hospital, or a portion of a hospital that acts as one I guess. Wouldn’t they know about us and… Basically get rid of us?” Min-su explained, adjusting the neck of the uniform he died in. For once, Thanos didn’t interrupt Min-su or try to lighten the mood, he was silent. He didn’t know what to say, even though he was a character from Nam-gyu’s mind, he occasionally acted out of place. As if Nam-gyu didn’t know how he’d react.
“About time, then. Damn.” Se-mi scoffed, crossing her arms and pushing down the fear of not existing any longer from her mind. Being free from that bastard is another advantage of being gone. Gyeong-su cleared his throat, an anxious look on his face while his idol was completely spaced out, thinking about hell knows what.
“Does that mean they’ll give him medicines and we’ll just… Poof away?” He asked, he felt scared but a bit confused at the same time. It was hard to tell what he felt as he glanced towards Nam-gyu, who was also silent. He had the same look on his face as Thanos did now, fear.
Fear of losing the people he managed to grow even a bit close with in the shitty games he was forced into.
His hands twitched as he scratched against his neck, not hard enough to rip skin off, but enough to turn it red. He needed something, glancing at Thanos, he didn’t have his necklace anymore. His hands began to twitch, he’s been clean since he left the games, in fear of someone betraying him, drugging him and forcing him back into that shithole. But god, he needed that insane drugs that Thanos gave him back in the games. The thought of seeing the group of people he’s adjusted to in the past few months just disappear scared him more than he thought it would. He’s accidentally began to cling onto these bastards, so what does he do now? Accept it?
Suddenly, the door to his room was assaulted with two knocks, his eyes snapping towards the door. The others that were on the floor immediately looking and turning to see what was going on. Curious on who was about to come in. The door slowly opened, careful in case someone was hiding behind it. Then, revealed a girl who seemed around his age, her hair was tied up and she had a soft expression, a small smile on her face.
“Hi, I don’t think we’ve met… I’m Jung Da-eun, I’ll be taking care of you with everyone else, Mr. Roh.” She cheerfully introduced herself, bowing her upper body down slightly before straightening up with her clipboard in her left hand. Nam-gyu eyed her up and down, biting back any rude words as he nodded. He didn’t correct her formality towards him, preferring it. It was better than Thanos’ shitty ‘Nam-su’ nickname, or whatever the hell was going on in his mind whenever he called the man by that name.
“Okay.” He blandly replied, the hand that was scratching his neck lowered itself down. Laying his hands down in the middle of his legs. Staring at her, it was a bit unnerving with the gaze he carried, it wasn’t empty, that’s for sure. His eyes carried a gaze of anger and displeasure, as if he wanted her gone.
“Do you want go outside? I could tour you around, if you’d like, Mr. Roh.” Da-eun offered, not looking away from him, no matter how mean his gaze seemed. The man seemed to think about it, he broke eye-contact with her to look at an empty spot on the floor, it wasn’t too far from the door, it was the middle of the room. Da-eun got curious and looked over there too, seeing if there was anything that fell down there. There wasn’t anything though, so she looked back at Nam-gyu in slight confusion. But he was still staring at the spot, as if he was listening to someone.
Nam-gyu, however, was staring at Min-su. The man staring back at him with the same gaze he held.
“Yeah.” Nam-gyu agreed, his head turning towards Da-eun but his eyes were glued onto the spot for a few more seconds before he had his gaze back onto Da-eun. He should see the place a bit, then he could figure out how to escape if he needed to. He stood up within seconds of his agreeance, his hands moved to pocket itself in his jacket… But alas, there was no jacket to pocket his hands into. So then he tried with his pants, then realised there was no pockets either. So he just decided to keep his hands by his sides, it looked awkward but he barely gave a fuck, it was embarrassing enough for a shitty nurse to see him fail at realising he didnt have pockets twice.
“Okay, but you’ll have to stick by me, is that fine?” Da-eun waited for him to walk near her, to which he did. All she got from him though, was a huff and a nod. Muttering something about not getting lost, or maybe he said something similar to house costs? She couldn’t figure out what he said, but didn’t note it too much as Nam-gyu seemed fine with being toured around. She opened the door once more, stepping through and looking behind herself to see Nam-gyu staring down at the change of floorings, from padded to normal flooring.
He looked up at her, his eyes carried a new look for a split second before it returned to it’s normal angry state.
Vulnerability.
Da-eun had caught it, but she didn’t say anything, instead choosing to smile at him.
“Are you coming? I can’t wait to show you around.” She asked, waiting for him. Nam-gyu’s eyebrow twitched in irritation of her attitude, but he bit his tongue, looking back down at the two floors and then the door frame that split it.
If he took a step forward, then he’ll be wondering into something new again. Was he truly ready to start a new adventure? He didn’t know anything about this place, he didn’t know anything about anyone here, so was it safe for him to go outside of this room even? What if it happens again?
His hands gripped the sides of his shirt, Da-eun simply waiting, it was easy to tell he was anxious about everything going on. She’s been here long enough to recognise it properly now.
Nam-gyu was about to say that he was tired, that he’ll look around another day, but a heavy hand pressed onto his shoulder. He didn’t have to look behind him to know who it was. His hands fisted into balls, trembling slightly as he gulped down the spit in his mouth. To Nam-gyu, it felt like the hand pushed his shoulder slightly, though in reality he hasn’t moved.
“You aren’t going to chicken out, are you, Nam-suuu?” Thanos teased, going through Nam-gyu and stepping onto the other side, Se-mi joining with Min-su as she rolled her eyes as Nam-gyu, Gyeong-su rushing over as well. They were moving on already, so why was he acting like a loser?
Nam-gyu looked at them, before looking at Da-eun, who was facing him properly while the others weren’t facing him, but their backs were.
He took a step forward, out of the room he was inclined to stay in.
“I’m coming.” He sighed out, focusing on Da-eun. Maybe it was a sign, maybe he needed to try to move on. Looking at the woman in front of him, he frowned a bit. But she didn’t seem to mind, turning her back towards him and letting him to walk next to her. Nam-gyu listened to whatever she was rambling about half-heartedly.
However, he knew this was going to be a shitty adventure. Glancing over at Da-eun, then rolling his eyes as she seemed immersed in talking about the environment.

please let me know what you think of the chapter! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
synopsis: It's been three months since the squid games had finished, Nam-gyu's left with the guilt of killing multiple people and sooner or later begins to see them in his everyday life, believing that they're ghosts that've come back to haunt him. After failing his attempt to kill himself, he's forced into a psychiatric ward. Unfortunately, he's not going to let himself be tricked by others into becoming vulnerable. He's done that once by accident, and he had to witness multiple die, and had to kill multiple. He won't go through it again. Though... It all seems to change once he gets closer to a nurse, and soon, a friend outside of the hospital.
OR
An AU where Nam-gyu won the games, only to be haunted by the money and guilt of killing others. But soon finds love in someone that sees him as his own person.
I'VE DECIDED ON A NAME!!!!! LOVESHOT AU SHOULD BE GOOD?!?!?!??? MAYBE!?!?!???
bonus ramblings:
yk when i got into the deltarune fandom. i was like. no obsession will be as bad as my sans + papyrus obsession! of course not! impossible! as if!
the addisons + spamton plague my mind.
Anyways! A full-body of pre-cupid and post-cupid (i think it's easier to just call it 'cupid' arc, since... i feel like he would've acted more like cupid DURING and after his fame era) forms r coming soon!
InStyle Spamton by ME!!
Matchmaker Spamton by ME!!
Info about BOTH Spamtons below!!
MATCHMAKER SPAMTON [PRIME]
-> He's sleazy guy, I mean, most Spamtons are.
-> His wings are incredibly small, which make it impossible to use. He acts like they're only here for aesthetics, and are apart of his uniform.
-> Those wings aren't natural.
-> He has a small tail, represent's a dove's feathers. More prominent when it isn't covered by his coat.
-> Sticks with a more innocent look to match his role in the show.
-> Since "MR ANT-TENNA'S TV TIME" revolves around a dating show, Spamton's role in this AU is to provide eye-catching commercial breaks. He also interviews contestants on their show, very pushy with his questions...
-> Very bastardous.
-> He has wavy (curly?) hair, however, he often straights it and slicks it back to seem more professional.
-> Spamtenna (the romantic ship) isn't canon in this AU, but I see them more as two guys who have a bond that's better than everyone else's. Bromance to the max...
-> Definitely a fan of staying up late and critiquing whatever activities and shows they're hosting the next day.
-> Overall, very close to Tenna. In a sense where they can sit together without needing to talk about secrets.
"Fools on parade frolic and fuck about to make her gaze..."
IN-STYLE SPAMTON [PRIME]
-> While Tenna's main aesthetic is 'that one popular boy that peaked in highschool in the 2000s', Spamton's is 'the bitchy jock'.
-> This guy has an ego that could probably outdo any Spamton's if you listen to his words closely.
-> "You did good, however, if you throw it like I do, you might be as good as me." -- "Haha! I remember doing that too, but I did it perfectly." -- etc.
-> Doesn't have a tail, just an addison in an addison world...
-> His hair is still dyed, adds onto his personality.
-> Thick eyebrows purely for his own aesthetic.
-> Very fluffy. Somehow. Nobody really?? Knows?? What he's supposed to be??? A bird?? Cat?? Dog??? BirdCat???
-> Sunglasses? He's just a big fan of looking cool.
-> Unironically, he plays basketball.
-> Has a whistle, blows on it every few seconds to annoy his Tenna or the staff.
-> Not as close to Tenna as the other Spamton, but they have their fun little moments.
-> Since we're talking about his prime, he probably played games with the younger contestants a lot.
-> I'll be honest, he and Tenna are probably a lot like 'Dick and Dom in da Bungalow' in terms of what they do.
-> I haven't taught a lot about their conjoined TV show... Maybe they would be a lot like Dick and Dom..? Or maybe they would have a teens-targetted TV show.
-> "How to be cool"?
-> Spamton likes pranking kids. Probably. If Kris watched their show as a kid, they'd probably witness a jumpscare or two or something...
I'm still debating on a name for this AU... Cupidrune? Matchrune? Deltamatcher? DeltaCupid??? something??????????? what can be a name even?????? do i have to go find mystical words that nobody knows the meaning of and use that as a name?????? help me??????????
BONUS UNDER THE CUT!
yes rouxls is going to have his own cool design too everyone!! yes!!! EVERYONE GETS A DESIGN!!!! EVEN THE CHAPTER ONES! THE CHAPTER TWOS!!.. and.. well.. the chapter fours? we don't talk about them... gulp.
Played around some more with the Addisons :) I really like the idea of making them more ‘ad-like’ and sorta predatory, much like irl ads are. They glow like neon signs.
Ignore Pink’s fuckass outfit idk where I was going with it either, might change it later if I find the time and energy heehee
