Welcome to the Pocket Designs Collection : A little project I set for myself to reignite my love for writing and design. I wanted a way to share my thoughts and projects, and now it can be delivered to your door in small themes each month!

At least that's the plan anyway :)

I'm hoping to grow a bigger audience, have a way to spark ideas and interests, start conversations on topics of writing, art, history, and fashion...just really anything I find interesting or creative and crafty. I would love for print media to make a comeback, but from the heart.

Post Club Dropping in Summer?

Hello everyone! I've been thinking of started a little Newsletter on my website, as well as having a tiny post club series to go along with it!

I've started making some mock-ups, and would hopefully launch it in the summer once I finish the short stories and sticker designs.

Pricing is to be determined, but it would be 6 letters (and postcards) at the end of the year!

I really just want to keep myself writing and creating, and last year I focused on doodles and design, but this year I really want to focus on writing! I used to write and Journal ALL the time (seriously I had notebooks on notebooks full and was known in school for writing all the time), and once I graduated and had to work 24/7 I kind of just stopped or didn't have the time or motivation...So this year is going to be all about Writing and Journaling, especially getting back into writing Short Stories and getting my thoughts down.

In the middle of 2024 and all through 2025 I had the idea to try and start a little mini magazine, all in the hopes it would reignite that creative spark inside me. I always loved writing and design. I loved coming up with short stories, little character dynamics designing outfits, and reimagining the outfits for some of my favorite characters.

I didn't think anyone would really be interested in my work, or that it would gain popularity, but I dove right in and decided on a few themes and prompts for each month. I wrote some journal entries, designed some outfits, and tried to add in little facts or movies and music recommendations that fit the theme. With doing these each month I felt less tired and unmotivated. I felt my creativity respark and all my ideas coming back to me. I had something to talk about and share, something I was excited about and I didn't feel like a mindless slave at my job.

Still, my minimagazines didn't feel authentic to me. Sure, I wrote and designed everything myself (for the most part), but they were all over the place in theme. It also hurt that I wasn't really finding a little community or people that were interested in my work. A few here and there (which I'm so thankful for), but not enough for me to continue printing everything out, it was getting pricey. I love physical media and actually being able to hold my work in my hands, but things aren't cheap anymore, and I can only scrapbook so much leftovers.

Going into the new year I want to try and pick one thing I'm passionate about and really stick to writing/designing that. I want to expand on my creativity and love for story writing and mix in my love for history, specifically castles and architecture. lf anyone will stick along for this rebrand or is interested, I'd love to know.

This whole thing is just for fun obviously, but like every artist and writer, it's more fun to have a community to share with. I already have so many ideas for what each edition will be including, a lot of my favorite myths and legends and locations, but twisted into little short stories. I've also decided to leave behind the mini magazine format and switch to a letter design or simply design zines (less paper waste and more cost effective for the time being). I also want to try my hand at longer videos and video essays. I have a bunch of scripts and topics I'd love to yap about, I just need to work up the courage.

I'm so excited to get started and plan and design each layout! As always thank you to everyone who has supported me this far, it means the world to me. I'll be going on a little break for a bit, not sure how long (waiting for my laptop to get fixed, and figuring out classes), but I hope you'll stick around for more…
