Christian College Students Practice Seeing into the Third Heavenly Realm
MANHATTAN- Skeptics watched as Grace Kim stretched her Pratt sweater nervously describing what she saw during the fifth teen minutes of mediation. âI saw many things. I donât know whatâs my imagination, whatâs God, and whatâs real?â Steven Choi, the overseer of Remnant Westside Church college ministry replies saying, âGod loves to use the redeemed imagination. Whatâs the first thing you saw?â
âA pile of beans.â She said.
Fourth-five minutes earlier Steven taught 32 Christian student leaders from Pratt, NYU, The New School, and Columbia the biblical frame work of the three spiritual realms at their Tuesday night weekly training. Every Tuesday these christian leaders meet at 28W 28th street Manhattan New York to learn who they are as sons and daughter in Christ and how to lead others through love. Steven Choi shared references to 2 Corinthians 12:2, Ephesians 6:12, and Genesis 1:1, explaining the different heavens and their authority to function in all three realms. Some students understood his teaching of the first heaven being the earth, the atmosphere where they lived. The place where their body identifies with and experiences with their five earthly (bodily, physical) senses â eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and touch. He continued teaching extensively about the other two layered realms. The second heaven being where the demonic resides. And the third heaven being where God rules from. It is the highest location of the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven. âThis is the place where Godâs throne is.â
Jenny Oh, a campus overseer of The New School Christian fellowship demonstrated how to see into the Third heaven. With her eyes wide open she said, âI see tectonic plates shifting in this room.â Her open vision was about growth. Seeing angels picking up seeds and humans minds expanding. One Eugene Lang student, Emily Hwang asked, âWhen we see healings, miracles, and prophecies does it always shift in the third heaven first and then manifest in the first heaven?â
âYesâ said Steven. And after thirty minutes of teaching and Q&Aâs. Student Leader were excited to practice seeing into the third heavenly realm. Steven prefaced by mentioning it might be hard at first and that they were not going to focus on interruption yet. The College students scanned the room and opened their spiritual eyes.
With Grace already sharing her vision the next person Samantha Yi said she saw a bean stock. Jenny Oh said she saw the same thing but in a different location in the room than Samantha. Was it a coincidence that the first the people all saw similar things in the spiritual realm? Art student from Pratt and New School, Jessie Sodetz and Jasmine Ho shared next and had similar visions of sand and water in the room. Other students from NYU shared with shocking results of having the same vision.
Steven Choi closed the time by saying, âWell that was weird. I donât expect that all of you will use this. I donât expect you to use it for but for your work places, classroom, or place like the Starbucks.â All the students came into agreement through prayer that God awakened a new tool to see Him in any place they entered if they choose to open their heart to see.

Born in Manhattan Leonard has been homeless all his life. Outlining the fragile cracks of governmental systems in New York City. Leonard's mother, Carry Fazon was killed by a New York City bus when he was four years old. Leonard every knew his father because he left shortly after his mother died. The System of Foster Care and SSI is all Leonard knows. New Yorkâs Department of Child Services states that 10,920 children are in foster care as of July 2015. Leonard express that there is compassion in foster care but he also described how he was a victim of rape, child abuse, and neglect.
When Leonard was 18 he was pushed into the streets by the government and given a federal supplemental security income. Every month Leonard would receive around 600 dollars to live off of. Leonard says that â Even though he was fighting a battle of life or death God never failed him.â Â Jesus gave Leonard continues hope. âI was given awesome opportunity to mister to people but by far AHAV has been the most rewarding.â
AHAV is a group of Christian that service and reaches out to the homeless population in New York City. Members of Remnant Westside Church go out on a regular basses giving food, build relationships with the people they meet on the streets, and study the Bible together. Leonard says, â The goal is to spiritually feed the homeless while also physical feed them. You have to be ready and understanding that youâre not going to aways come out and it be a good day. Thereâs going to be day you have to learn how to pray and intercede, so the enemy doesnât take control of what God is trying to do.â
âCome, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.â Then the righteous will answer him, saying, âLord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?â And the King will answer them, âTruly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.â
With a team of Journalist we hit the streets. We didnât know what to expect on a busy friday evening. Heavy laugher and frantic footsteps filled the air as we surveyed Union Square. A few interviews is all we needed. I had an idea maybe we can take pictures of people as entry point of conversation.Â
âI like your style can I take a picture of you?â
To my surprise I didnât have to do that at all. Before I could take out my camera we had a gentleman ask us. âwhat are you guys doing.â I told him â We want to know your story.â He proceed to tell me about how he was wait for his soon to be wife and new ground braking app.Â
In just one hour we got to interview a well known actor to a fashion designer who works in the empire state building to a wall street bank to spiritual love givers. Above as some of the interview and photo taken during the hour.
While interviewing skateboarders at Union Square I noticed not many know the legacy of the spots they are skating and how history of New York skateboarding intertwines.
Another story that sparked my interest is how so many skaters can see the same spot and still skate the obstacle completely different. Is that the nature of skateboarding or does the atmosphere of Union Square create a phenomenon?
Most state flags have horrible design. They have to many colors, detail, and designs in degins that itâs hard to recognized that it is. Listen to Roman Mars as he dissects the design of flag and how a flag can be design to rally and call of unity.

This are element of Journalism in the video like a interview, a specific event, and what Evan Hecox has done but it is missing the data, the story and narrative. It is a great talk with an amazing artist but not journalism at itâs finest.Â
I consider this to be good journalism because it is a quick unexpected story that talks about gender and skateboard on a macro and micro level. I believe the multimedia article inspires âmore girls and young women to defy the odds.â Not only in skateboarding but also in life.Â
