Things I have learned from my personal experience with pregnancy, labor, and postpartum:

Pregnancy is uncomfortable but looking back on it, it’s such a blip in my life. It’s very temporary.

My baby kicking me constantly was annoying until I didn’t feel her kick for a few hours, then I worried something was wrong with her (she was just sleeping).

My daughter looked exactly like her ultrasound images and 3D images, and her behavior outside the womb was very similar to inside the womb.

Maternity clothes are great for the weeks after birth.

Labor was pretty chill until contractions ramped up. Epidural came in clutch. I felt nothing while pushing.

I personally didn’t feel connected to my daughter when she was born. It took like a week or two for me to feel any maternal bond to her.

Labor wasn’t as bad as recovery — that part sucked. But again, so temporary. I felt so much better a week after delivery.

Breastfeeding is hard and painful at the start.

Pregnancy, labor, and recovery really are just a blip in my life now.

What is forever is being her mom — raising her, nursing her, putting her needs before mine.

For those facing unintended or unwanted pregnancies, just remember pregnancy and labor are temporary. If you’re not ready for the forever of caring for a child, someone else is and would love to adopt that baby. My best friend was one of those people and her adopted daughter is so loved and I’m excited for my daughter to grow up with her.

It feels intimidating that I’m now a parent to my daughter forever, but I don’t want to live life without her.

Doctors in Canada have said euthanasia for newborn babies who are born with disabilities “may be an appropriate treatment”, as concerns grow about the expansion of Canada’s euthanasia and assisted suicide programme.

Speaking on behalf of the Quebec College of Physicians (CMQ) to the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying, Dr Louis Roy previously recommended that euthanasia be introduced for babies with “severe deformations” and “very grave… medical syndromes”. Earlier this week, the CMQ reiterated their position.

Wesley J. Smith, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism, said “Canada has jumped so enthusiastically into the euthanasia abyss that I have little doubt that infanticide will eventually be allowed there. It’s only logical. If killing is an acceptable answer to suffering, why limit the killing to adults?”.

Really just sounds like Canada wants to avoid caring for disabled and suffering people in their country.

I think abortionists should always be prosecuted because they have full knowledge of the evil they are doing. I don’t think mothers getting the abortion have full knowledge of the situation and are scared or desperate. My husband says most women who seek abortions and fully understand that it’s killing their baby are the same as those who hire a hitman. I think if we prosecute women for it, it just over complicates everything. I would rather we get to the point where abortion is unthinkable so most women won’t want to seek it out. I think that we could one day see punishment for those who coerce others into it. Hopefully one day our nation will see it as the manslaughter that it is.

I was born in NOLA, so the terrorist attack that happened during the night hits close to home for me.

its a hard pill to swallow, but in 99.99% of cases women know exactly what they are doing when they get an abortion. The website is far better but it's having issues at the moment, check out "not a victim" on twitter. It's haunting stuff.

From my experience, a huge majority of women don’t fully understand what an abortion truly is. Most are in denial or are ignorant. Some women think it’s in the best interest of their unborn child to no longer exist, while others may think it’s not a human yet. I think abortion is a very complicated issue and I don’t blame the woman for feeling like it’s her only option when it never is. I blame the doctors and places like PP lying to them and spreading misinformation about the procedures and their unborn child. A woman hiring a hitman to kill her husband is different because in almost all cases they fully understand that he is an individual human being separate from her and killing him is immoral and violates his right to life. From my experience with pro-abortion or pro-choice people, they either don’t see abortion as violating a human’s right to life, or even that the unborn child is a human being at all. That’s what complicates it.
