I always kinda wondered where my recently rediscovered but long standing fixation for slashers came from. And I found it.
These motherfuckers. Brothers of Destruction. I was scrolling through YouTube and got recommended a fight of their's when it hit me. My crippling mask kink? My size kink? The silent killer that's actually soft underneath? They checked off all the boxes.
And I know for as much shit as WWE/WWF gets for being staged and having fucked up backstage things, these two were always the most interesting to me. So, let me share some of my fixation with y'all because I still love these big demon boys.
Okay, so my BOD lore hasn't been dusted off in a while but I did wiki it for those who are interested.
So yeah, half brothers with a fucked up and a seriously dark story? Sign me up! I won't talk about him as much, but keep in mind that the Paul Bearer has a huge impact on these two and their relationship with each other. Using one against the other, betting on the winning horse and abandoning the other, general manipulation, etc.
So let's talk about them individually and then their dynamic together.
Ooooohhhh my beloved 7'0", 323lbs demon. Big. Scary. Intimidating as all hell. Strong. Like ridiculously strong. He's silent 90% of the time and when he does speak you know he means it. His debut was fucking nutty, the match itself was insane, but then this massive mf walks up and just rips a chainlink gate off the hinges and beats the shit out of his half brother.
If you're interested, I recommend watching Kane's debut.
He controls fire, has one of the best entrances and songs (Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven). Silent but deadly personality. Is soft and caring for the people he cares about.
He's got this cool white/blue eye that just adds more mystery to him. His hair? Damn. Luxurious. He also pulls it into a ponytail sometimes which is fucking adorable.
For those who aren't familiar with WWE/WWF, these guys go through a lot of character arcs and developments. Some are better than others. My personal favorites are debut Kane and the one I've deemed "titty window" Kane. Debut Kane is roughly the three images above this. Titty window Kane is just...well look.

This is sometime between debut and titty window Kane but I just want to press how strong he is.
Yes, to some extent the wrestler who is getting lifted kind of jumps up for more momentum, but Kane is still lifting and holding to make sure the other guy doesn't snap his neck if Kane drops him. So Kane here is lifting one Hunter Helmsley a.k.a Triple H. Hunter's billed height and weight are 6'4" at 255lbs. Which that's a LOT of weight. BUT THIS MAN HAS LIFTED HEAVIER. NOT KIDDING. He's lifted his 6'10", 309lbs, half brother. And vice versa, but we'll get to him soon.
I would like to give a small mention about Kane's relationships. This man gets so many bitches but never keeps any. All of his relationships pretty much end in heartbreak and betrayal. Tori and Trish stand out the most for romantic relationships. Although X-pac was probably one of the better friends he had and was the one who originally helped Kane to speak. XPAC is a homie. Kind of. There's a lot more lore on his relationships, but I'll just let y'all look that up yourself. Some of them are uhhh, weird. Kane was one of the best characters and also the one that they had no idea what to do with. He had some good and evil character arcs. I'll leave it at that.
Alright, let's talk about big brother Taker. Beautiful man, by the way. Also makes me 👀, if ya know what I mean. Undertaker's shtick is less of being a demon and just being undead. He's almost like the Grim Reaper? He has cults and followers and more paranormal things surrounding him. He's an icon. Hands down one of my top fav wrestlers.
He's big. Ominous. "Looks like they could kill you and would actually kill you". 6'10" and 309lbs. Could easily lift me and snap me in two, 10/10. Tattoos? Tattoos. Once again, he's the silent deadly type but can also be super sweet to those he cares about.

He's spry. This big fuckin dude can leap from and walk along the top ropes like a cat. It's horrifying and uncanny. He's graceful? If that makes sense? For a dude his size he can move with a surprising amount of agility.
Also the Eye and Tongue thing *tm*. Casually rolls his eyes into the back of his head and sticks that ungodly long tongue out. 👀....
No further comment on that.
He had a lot of character developments and arcs, more so than Kane. But Undertaker with the hat and leather duster? 🥵
Debut him is just adorable in my opinion. Soft red-headed boy that could easily crush me. Cute.
I would continue but this man has so much lore I can't recite it all. Take away is: big, strong, scary, agile, embodiment of death, 10/10 would smash.
THE BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION
Alright. So the brothers. They have their ups and downs. First starting off as a rivalry, no thanks to Paul Bearer. They typically had matches against each other. They were separate entities. It wasn't until SummerSlam, the two teamed up for the first time as a tag team.
There were certain moments where you could tell they genuinely cared for the other. An example would be when Kane had injured his arm. Also when Undertake tried to teach Kane his finishing move. But it seemed like most of the time they acted like...well, brothers is the only way to put it. Standoffish, fighting and arguing with each other.
My brain capacity is running low but I leave you with this.
Smash or Pass? Smash both. 100/10 times. Would be grateful if either of them snapped me in two. Lowkey wish I was getting tossed around the ring by them. Would apologize if they spilled something on me by accident. The way they would have to look down at me and I'd have to crane my neck up to meet their eyes? Panties dropped. No competition.
Character-wise, I fucking love these two and have always been tempted to write something about them. Perhaps in the future...
