Black Butler AMV: Time Warp by That One Girl
Angela, how does one "snuff out" the unclean, unwanted and unnecessary?
The angel smirks at the question. âWould you like me to show you?â
mskiarafan1
I smile, feeling that this holy lady could be trusted. The glow from her presence alone calms me. My soul and instincts tell me to take her handâŠ..and trusting bothâŠ.
I do.
âOh andâŠ.the nameâs Kiara. Just so you know.â I added, admiring at how lovely this Angel was. She alone puts mythical sirens to shame, I thought to myself.
âSuch a pretty name.â Angela smiled, eyes squinting as they usually did when she smiled, â I know just the place where we can be alone and talk. Where all your worries and doubts can be quieted. Where your soul can be healed and freed. It isnât much further ahead, my child. I shall make you pure as the driven snow like so many others who need cleansing.â
The girl had no idea she had just been snared by the wolf in sheepâs clothing. There would be no turning back. Hence forth she would be a prisoner in the angelâs gilded cage.Â
Angela, how does one "snuff out" the unclean, unwanted and unnecessary?
The angel smirks at the question. âWould you like me to show you?â
mskiarafan1
âIf youâd like, My Lady.â I reply. âIâd like a demonstration.â
âThen by all means take my hand and come with me,â the angel replies offering her hand to the stranger. âHere is not an appropriate place. We need someplace quiet... where we will not be disturbed.â
Angela, how does one "snuff out" the unclean, unwanted and unnecessary?
The angel smirks at the question. âWould you like me to show you?â
The Return

âOverrated?â the doll repeated as if he had heard the word for the first time. âWould you have respected me less if I remained human, master? Do I satisfy you like this?â he asked the angel, dipping his head, shutting his lids as the other stroked his cheek.
âPerhaps those questions are better suited for Angela. She seems to hold you in better regards than myself,â he replied a bit coldly. âI will answer that you have satisfied me quite well and I shall assume you will continue to prove to be useful to me henceforth. Now, honestly, I really must be off. Speak with my sister if you have further inquiries.â
Turning from the confused puppet, Ash swiftly moved to the cottage door. With hesitation he turned back to the doll. âUpon my return, we shall speak further. I will fix you up nicely and give you purpose once more. Until then, listen to what Angela tells you to do. I leave you in her charge.â
With that the angel opened the door and stepped quietly into the last moments of daylight. The sky blazing with the colours of the setting sun. He moved effortlessly as he flew through the Autumn air to be by the Queenâs side.
The Return

Drossel looked up at the angel and frowned. âI⊠I do not remember what it was like, being human⊠y-you say that I was miserable?â The ginger questioned, cocking his head to the side and pondering aloud.
âI suppose you would not remember. A side effect of the purification process performed on you. I canât say I remember much either about your human life. I only met you really...the day you sought to be cleansed,â Ash smiled as he reached down and touched the puppetâs cheek. âI wouldnât be so ungrateful, Drossel. Mortality is overrated.â
The Return
dolloftheangel
âIâŠ,â the doll trailed off with a frown. âI want to ask you one thing more, master, if I may dare,â the ginger-haired doll pleaded as the other turned to leve. âI need  to know somethin. It⊠it is very important to me.â
The doll paused, looking down at his feet, at his hands. How dirty they were. In every meaning of the word they were filthy.
âI⊠I want to be human.â
âHuman?â the angel replied with a raised brow and low chuckle. âWhy Drossel do you not remember you were once human? You were miserable if I recall. And if not for myself and my sister you would have died unclean and unwanted. We purified you and gave you ever lasting life. In this form you can no longer become unnecessary. Are you ungrateful? Do you regret your decision?â
The Return

Drossel felt a faint stirring in the confines of his wooden chest as the angel stroked his cheek. âI⊠I was damaged severely, master,â he confirmed with a stoic frown. âBut⊠you did not think to⊠send for me?â
He would have shown up sooner if he had been called. He would have pulled himself together and dragged himself to the queen if he had to. He desired nothing in his heart or lack thereof to see his master satisfied.
âI⊠I ask that you forgive me. For my absence. That⊠that is all that I ask. I dare not ask more,â he told him.
âThere is but no reason for apologies. I did not call, as I said before, because I was unawares of your existence being still. The word was you were as good as dead. Angela and myself were lead to believe there was no point in returning to our former home,â the angel all but sighed. âNow that things have been sorted out. I really need to be on my way. I leave you in Angelaâs care. Ask of her anything you like. I believe she is quite found of you, Drossel,â he smiled.
The Return
dolloftheangel
âWhy did⊠why did you not come for me,master?â The doll asked, a frown on his wooden lips. âWere you not satisfied with my work? Did you think that I had failed you?â He asked.
He sat down.
âI do not understand.â
âWhy did I not come for you?â the angel repeated. Malevolent eyes smiled down at the puppet as he brushed his satin encased knuckles along Drosselâs wooden cheek. âI was informed that the demon, Michaelis, had all but left you in pieces. My duty was to see to the Queen and therefore I was not at liberty to search for your remains. Likewise was my sister. However, as you have returned, there was no need to do so after all.â
Straightening his coat, Ash stood at his full height and raised one brow as he looked down upon his beloved creation. âIs there anything more you wish to ask, Drossel? If not, I truly must be on my way. Angela will be more than happy to see to your needs.â
The Return
dolloftheangel
The doll stiffened further somehow as his master made his voice known. His head spun around as the angel placed a hand on the dollâs shoulder.
The other whispered in his ear and Drossel finally spoke up.
âI am incredibly resilient, master,â Drossel said. âIt would be foolish to be brought down with a simple blow, knowing I could no longer serve you.â
âI see...well it is good to have you back. I think you could still be useful to us yet. Do you require any refreshment or anything at all? I am sure my sister would be more than happy to supply you with anything you might need,â the angel inquired, smiling as he stepped around the sitting puppet to come before him. âAs for myself, I have something I must take care of for the queen and shall return sometime later in the night. Do make yourself at home, puppet.â
The Return
dolloftheangel
The doll sat down, making himself âcomfortableâ in a rocking chair. He looked down as the chair moved back and forth. He wondered if he and the chair were not so different after all.
They had both been created to be used.
He wondered if his master would truly be happy to see him again.
âSo there you sit,â came the sound of a masculine voice from behind the doll.âI wondered if what my sister told me was true. It would seem you have returned, if not worse for wear, Drossel.â
Coolly, Ash placed a hand on the puppetâs shoulder. Without a trace of emotion on his face, he lowered his head and whispered into the dollâs ear. âI had it on good authority you had been destroyed. How is that you are still alive, Drossel?â
The Return
dolloftheangel
The doll followed the angel, and stopped only after they reached the cottage. It was a beautiful, quaint little thing, and Drossel felt comfortable merely by looking at it. It was all very pleasing to the eye. And Drossel was not biased in any way when it came to external beauty.
He went inside the cottage as Angela called for her other half. He was taken aback by the glorious interior.
âIt is beautiful, mistress,â he said.
âOh, I am so delighted that you like Drossel. Please do make yourself at home. I shall fetch my brother,â she replied beaming once more. âI wonât be but a moment.â Without another word the angel bounded off for the back of the cottage and up the narrow staircase that led to her brotherâs private rooms.Â
The Return
dolloftheangel
The doll quickly followed behind her as the angel sprinted ahead. Despite not being in the best of shape, he still managed to run rather fast.
âComing, coming!â He called after her, breaking into a sprint. It was a good thing he never got tired.
His master was waiting.
Soon the quaint little cottage came into view. A brick chimney jetted from the thatched roof. A tiny stream of smoke rose from it. Green shutters adorned every window and a flower box sat beneath each one, filled with lilacs and violets. The walls were crafted from logs and ivy crept over nearly every inch of them. There was a porch with an over hang. Two rocking chairs sat empty upon it. A pane of glass sat cut into the mahogany door. A picture of two angels carved and pained into the glass. They were embracing one another; at their sides were a dog in the shape of a man and a puppet with a music box. This was the newly acquired home for the angles.
âAsh?! Brother?! Are you about?!â Angela hollered as she turned the brass knob on the door and swung it open. âI have quite the surprise for you!â
âCome inside, Drossel,â she urged as the puppet came up behind her. âThis is your new home.â
The Return
dolloftheangel
Drossel had no idea what that phrase meant, but Angela made it seem like it was a good thing.
âI am able to run, mistress,â the doll said. âIf you lead the way I will follow quite quickly.â
âAlright, then come along Drossel. Lets run,â she smiled at him.Â
Picking up her skirts, Angela picked her feet up and began to run ahead of the puppet. The wind whipped through her hair, threatening to tear her bonnet from the top of her head. Giggling joyfully, she reached up with her free hand to hold it in place. She always did enjoy the feel of the air kissing he porcelain cheeks as she ran or flew.Â
âCome on, Drossel,â she hollered over her shoulder. âAsh is waiting.â
The Return
dolloftheangel
âI wish to see him now,â the doll requested. âIf it is not too much trouble. I do not wish to make him wait any longer. He was the one that wanted me back, correct, mistress?â
âOh indeed, Drossel,â she beamed. âAsh will be tickled pink to see you.âÂ
She looked the doll up and down, assessing him, and asked, âDrossel...are you able to run? We can arrive much faster if we quicken our pace. The cottage is just over the next rise and fall.âÂ
The Return
dolloftheangel
âI would like whatever it is that you like, mistress,â Drossel responded with a bow. âI would very much wish to continue making my dolls, so a new shop would be most favorable,â he continued, pondering aloud.
âIndeed you shall,â she beamed, â I cannot wait to see what you create, Drossel. I did so enjoy your work. Iâve missed seeing your creations. Ash too. He will be over joyed to observe your abilities once more.â Â
