I literally can't watch movie 3 ever again. It's not just the obnoxious fanon stuff about the Inuparents and Inuyasha's age - it's mainly the fact that it was done by the same guy who did Yashahime and I can't watch it without the hindsight that he had intent to make Sesshoumaru and Rin romantic. Which recontextualizes way too much in that stupid narrative about how Sess needed "someone to protect." As in now it's code for the same thing Toga protecting Izayoi means. Code for the same thing Inuyasha protecting Kagome means. I fucking hate it. How dare Sumisawa lay his filthy hands on this series.

I mean how isn't this the cutest idea that this giant, human hating dog demon becomes the father figure to TWO HUMAN CHILDREN???

This is so great because in most series or anime it happens through love interests (which is also great but with the right circumstances) and here it happened through adopting human kids and this just so beautiful.

Making Sesshomaru a adoptive dad was the greatest choice ever and Sunrise took it and threw it out the window.
