i mean this in the nicest way possible you guys but you NEED to take better care of yourselves online. getting severely anxious about mass quantities of horrible things you cant change every single day is normal considering the internet’s ability to educate on worldwide issues, it shows that you have empathy and that you truly do care. but relentless knowledge of constant suffering on this scale is NOT something humans are psychologically equipped to handle. it’s okay to shut off. it’s okay to just take a break and enjoy yourself for a while in your own localized space
It was half meant as a joke, but I recently read a post that was something like “If you’re not outraged, you’re probably setting understandable boundaries with the news you consume online”, and I still haven’t stopped thinking about it

the longevity of life and love

The burglar that broke into my house: bodily autonomy?
me: exactly. Now,
Men don’t hate the “gray area of consent” because it confuses them, they love it because it gives them plausible deniability any time they want to pressure or manipulate women into sex.
Men are perfectly fucking aware that there are situations in which women don’t feel comfortable saying no, and they go to lengths to put women in those situations *specifically* so that they can get sex if she doesn’t want to. Men have mental fucking blueprints of where that gray area starts and ends. They know what they can get away with and are constantly testing boundaries to see how far they can push.
Their outrage at broadening definitions of sexual harassment isn’t over how “confusing” and “dangerous” it is for them to date now, it’s over losing that precious excuse of ignorance and having to consider what the woman actually wants instead of what they can get away with doing to her.

wishing gender euphoria on all trans people, wishing for all trans people to feel at home in their bodies, to be absolutely and entirely in love with and at peace in their bodies
Even if you don't think/know that you have [disorder] (or even if you know you don't!) you're allowed to use coping strategies meant for or associated with that disorder. You can use ADHD tips for your poor memory. You can stim even if you're not autistic (stimming has a lot of overlap between disorders honestly). You can use chronic fatigue tips if you have depression. You're not stealing resources. If it helps you, it helps you, whether you were the target audience or not
