Blue Tit— What a fun bird to paint and talk about. Overall I love this watercolor piece. The subtle details in the flower petals and the reflective yellow and blue colors in the bird. The minty leaves support the vibrant Tit.

All finished with this forest floor scene! A snake sneaks through the painting while everything else is living in their own world… ✨BONUS points for finding the frame cheap at a thrift store!

Started chipping away at this little snake scene. This painting has a few moving parts but as I start blocking in the base colors I get a little more secure and more excited. 🐍 🐿️ 🐞 🐦

Fall is in the air! I can’t wait for all the beauty that it brings. Crisp morning air and leaf’s showing off their new shades of reds and gold. This flash sheet took a lot of time and attention, but I’m super proud of the progress so far.

She’s the hero in her story! It’s hard work saving yourself, but worth every bit of blood sweat and tears.. This watercolor was challenging in a fun way. I haven’t ever painted anything that had a shiny surface, and I had just rewatched the whole GOT series 🤣🤣 So this is the results of inspiration and challenge. I love to challenge myself I love proving that I have gained skills and confidence in my work.

Growth— Black ink only in this painting. It was a blast drawing a saguaro 🌵! Did you know that because saguaros grow so slowly, it might take 50 to 75 years for them to grow their first arms?! Arms are important to them because they store extra water. After 100 years, they usually have several arms.

🐸Ribbit— just finished up this little guy! I got my hands on a white gel pen, so I tried out some shiny highlights on the frog. I really love those added details, thank you for looking!

Oh the progress, oh the horror!!! ……………………..See what I did there?! 👀

— The golden eyed tiger leaping out of the flames really steals the show! This 9”x12” flash sheet gives a playful nod to the Japanese style tattoos, with cherry blossoms and swirling clouds. Not sure if it’s completely finished, this may need a background color…? Thanks for looking!

Just Smile— Cute 8”x8” painting of flowers sprouting from a skull. Dramatic black at the base of the skull makes the colors on the flowers and stems sing. Red tips on the leaves take your eye hostage and continuously carries you through the piece.

Rawr?!—This is a light hearted flash sheet I drew up the first week in July while chilling at a BBQ. It’s only 8”x8” but I think it embodied the summer vibe that day. When it came down to adding color I went vibrant and saturated. Creating a darker green background helped frame everything.

Mother Nature— I finished this drawing in July, and started to lay down some color. However sometimes you just need to step away and work on another project until you feel re inspired! Well today was the day, I sat down and added some finishing touches and darkened up her hair.

Fishing— Beautiful circular design that mimics the bubbly swirling water throughout the painting. I played with hues of blue to make the water theme come alive, allowing the darker blues to create depth!

Magical Moment— This drawing has a few of my favorite things. All drawn in ink, and a touch of magic!

Sight— Ink drawing of an all seeing crow. The sky was really fun to create, I lost many hours zoning out in the drawing process. How many dots are on this piece?

— Ink drawing out of my sketchbook honestly just showing off clean lines and different textures. However I would love to revisit the skull and or the moth and make larger versions. Maybe a couple future paintings?!
