pumpkin gfs because its october why not 🎃
this is in my history book about prohibition in the 1920s and i’m laughing so hard oh my gooooood
i love how popular media makes speakeasies out to be incredibly secretive and impossible to find and this narc unjustly saddled with the best name ever found booze on arrival.
100 years later new orleans is still Like That
It’s a weird case from the start. A case with a hole in the center. A doughnut.

yeah reminder not to go on tiktok y'all i lit got tricked into watchin that video that’s goin around so rlly don’t go on today
edit: an anon reminded me probably best to describe him so i have a screen cap of like the first second of the video
if u see this man on ur screen literally scroll away bc it’s The video!!!!
i have not watched this video, but i think it’s important to warn people that according to comments this man commits suicide on camera. there are a lot of comments simply telling people to “keep scrolling” but please also say what the video is. it took me a good minute to find that info just from the notes.
THIS IS A VIDEO GRAPHICALLY SHOWING A MAN COMMIT SUICIDE VIA SHOTGUN TO THE HEAD. IT IS SHOCKING, IT IS TRAUMATIC, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY KEEP SCROLLING OR REPORT IF YOU SEE THAT FIRST FRAME. IT HAPPENS VERY QUICKLY WITH LITTLE TO NO WARNING.
As someone who did watch this video, it’s awful. If you see this screen, immediately keep scrolling. I recommend turning off autoplay on your tik tok account .
PEOPLE ARE ALSO EDITING THIS CLIP INTO OTHER TIKTOKS.
I JUST SAW ONE WITH A GIRL DOING THE “my biggest flex is having hot friends check” AND THE FIRST THING THAT POPPED UP WAS THIS VIDEO. IT IS GRAPHIC AND DEFINITELY TRAUMATISING.
I have also been told that there are several other tactics that people are using. A few of them are:
- craft videos with multiple steps. they will show one or two steps before cutting to the video.
- innocuous videos (ie, someone showing their pets or kids) will also show the clip. a good way to tell is if it seems like a poor-quality video.
- aesthetics videos (one that is circulating is a halloween aesthetic video)
- lastly, it will seem to be a person making a rip post for the man in the video
these are just the ones i have heard from friends or people posting about this. pls be safe and pause to read the comments on tiktoks to get an idea of what the video may be.
tiktok has a history of not being the best at handling things like this so do your best to keep yourself safe. if you have younger siblings, friends or maybe kids of your own pls try to get them to stay off tiktok for a while or pass this information off.
It was really bothering me that the person who commits suicide in this video is nameless in every post I’ve seen warning about the video, so I decided to look him up.
The man’s name is Ronnie McNutt, he was a 33 years old Iraq war veteran from Mississippi who had just lost his job at a Toyota plant, and the video did not originate on Tiktok.
McNutt killed himself during a Facebook live video for his friends, friends who were trying to talk him down. Then some unknown person took that video and put it on other platforms.
I feel this information is important because:
Ronnie McNutt was a real human being and his name was not “man with a beard”
He deserves the same level of dignity and respect that should be afforded to all people. He had a name, he had a story, he is not a nameless unknowable entity who existed solely in the context of a snuff film.
Treating him as a nameless unknowable entity who only existed in the context of a snuff film is exactly the sort of attitude that results in the further propagation of this video
The video was not created for mass public consumption
If you think this video is traumatic for you, imagine how it felt for its actual intended audience, the people who loved and knew him. Now imagine experiencing that trauma only for someone to treat this horrific act like shareable content.
It is unnerving that in every post I’ve seen warning people about this video I haven’t seen any consideration for how his loved ones must feel about McNutt’s death going viral
Someone decided to circulate this across platforms. McNutt did not stream this for TikTok, he did not post it to Twitter…. someone saw this horrific death on Facebook and then decided to cross platform it.
McNutt’s friends and family have been speaking out about the trauma of witnessing his death in this manner and how Facebook did not do everything they could have to stop this.
This was and continues to be a deeply malicious act that, every step of the way, reveals just how fucked up social media culture is.
The moral of knives out was entitled rich people are the same. There were various types of political leanings in the Thrombey family: leftist, liberal, conservative, alt-right. However, none of that mattered when their money was threatened, whatever political opinions they held went out the window if it meant saving their lifestyle.
And, actually, when the power dynamic wasn’t them at the top. Meg is sort of positioned as the one nice one of the family, and the one who genuinely sees Marta as a friend - but the turning point for her is not when she loses the money (she even suggests to her mother that they should honour the will, at first), but when she tells Marta that she’ll have to drop out of school. Marta’s response is “No, Meg, that won’t happen. I’ll take care of you.”
It’s a line that gets said to Marta repeatedly by the family, and she’s expected to be grateful for it. But when she uses it at Meg, Meg is so offended by it that she tells the family about Marta’s mother’s immigration status. Literally, this lovely, leftist, progressive white girl is so furious at the temerity of the poor Hispanic nurse offering her charity that she immediately lashes back by using her enormous privilege to put Marta back in her place. She risks Marta’s mother being arrested and deported, so that she can assuage her own ego.
And she feels guilty about it, sure. She feels terrible afterwards.
But in that moment, we see what she really is, and just how dangerous wealth and privilege make a person to everyone else around them.
I’m late to the party, but I wanted to add that I read the screenplay today and the comment above is true.
“Horrified, mortified, barely comprehending what she’s just heard.” It’s the fact that Marta offered her charity that really causes Meg to panic. She can’t stomach the tables being turned that way. She betrays Marta, not to get the tuition money, but to put her world back the way it’s always been. She can’t imagine a world where she has to take generosity, not give it.

oh my god
Gay_irl
I’m having an absolute fucking fit over this?????
No—okay the subversion is great and I love it but he’s still fat!!!!
The punchline wasn’t that he got skinny and ripped and the ex regretted it, it wasn’t even that he got skinny and ripped and started dating his trainer! He’s working out sure and maybe a little more “in shape” but the important thing is he’s fat and happy in the end.
Do you have any idea what seeing this did for a queer fat guy like me??? I’m so happy right now I’m genuinely just stunned.
shirts are a bi flag too
Guys oh my god, the guy stayed fat because he found a relationship with someone who cares for and supports him for who he is. He realized she was the problem and isnt in a toxic relationship anymore
got one thing on my mind
Poor Rothgarth. ko-fi twitter
ugh leverage is such a good underrated show like they said "why kill the rich and powerful and redistribute the wealth when its so much more fun to turn their lives into a living hell and force them to watch as their power is ripped away from them and give that power and money back to those they stole it from." and also a team of talented criminals come together and accidentally turn into a family. then theres the love triangle that turns into a poly relationship. fuckin legendary. amazing. revolutionary. incredible. the world wasnt ready.
