Sonadow NO es Proshipping (Eng/Esp)
Honestly, it's sad that there are still users that use this “argument” against Sonadow, because it is obvious that they don’t really understand the context. But alright, let's make this again: Just to clarify, in the story it said that Shadow was in Suspended Animation during those 50 years, which mean that despite that chronologically he would have more than 50 years old, Physically, Biologically and Psychologically he would have the same ages from 50 years before, because that’s how works the Suspended Animation,
For example, let’s say that we put characters like Maria or Sonic in Suspended Animation for 100 years. Again, technically they will be more than 100 years old chronologically speaking but for the rest, they will be the same in all the other aspects from 100 years before. This concept has been seen in the fiction for decades, in others works like Cowboy Bebop o Avatar The Last Airbender, is not new and is not complicated to understand either.
So, which would be Shadow's age then?
Everything suggests that would be in the same age range as the big part of the cast, in other words, a teenager or young adult. His age was only mentioned in a leaked description from Sonic 2006 where it is said that he is 15 years old,
For the rest of the time, Shadow is always described as being ageless or even, that never ages.
So not, Sonadow is not proshipping, their fans are not pairing a teenager with a grandpa and all the ones who insist on that, simply don’t understand the context of the story.
I this become especially annoying when you can see that this argument of the ‘different age’ is not use it against other ships like Knuxouge, Shadouge, Knuxikal o Sonamy, or at least, not as commonly as Sonadow If in my almost 7 years in this fandom I never see or heard someone mention it.
En serio, es una putada que esto siga siendo un "argumento" vigente en la comunión, pero bueno, toca aclarar esto una vez mas: Shadow estuvo en animación suspendida por 50 años por lo que aunque cronológicamente hablando si que tendría mas de 50 años, física, psicológica y biológicamente seguirá teniendo la misma edad que antes de dicho proceso, por que así es como funciona la animación suspendida.
Ósea, por ejemplo, si María o Sonic fueran puestos animación suspendida y fuera reanimados 100 años después, seguirían siendo los mismos de siempre aunque técnicamente han estado vivos por mas de un siglo.
Casos como estos se llevan viendo en la ficción desde hace décadas, en obras como Cowoy Bebop o Avatar La Leyenda de Aang, no es nada nuevo ni tan complicado de entender.
Entonces, que edad tendría Shadow?
Pues todo pareciera apuntar a que el personaje esta diseñado para encajar dentro del rango de edad de la mayor parte del elenco, es decir, un adolescente o adulto joven. Mas allá de una suposición, en una descripción filtrada de Sonic 2006, se dice explíctamente que tiene 15 años.
Mientras que en otros perfiles oficiales, es descrito como un ser sin edad o directamente que no envejece.
Asique no, Sonadow no es un proshipping, no están shipeando a un adolescente con un anciano y esta creencia no tiene fundamente mas allá de la mal interpretación de los usuarios.
Y de verdad que esto se vuelve especialmente sangrante cuando se puede ver que no utiliza este mismo argumento de la diferencia de edad con otros ships como Knuxouge, Knuxikal, Shadouge o incluso Sonamy, o al menos no con tanta frecuencia como con Sonadow si en mis casi 7 años en este fandom nunca he visto u oído a alguien mencionarlo.
