The Safe House Poland-based architecture studio KWK Promes has made to be the world’s most secure home. The 6100 sq. ft Safe House is encapsulated in concrete wall and has moveable walls that can seal shut, making the house impregnable. The walls can be configured to the owner’s desire and once safe inside, only a security code can open the home that also has an inner safety zone. The Safe House was also just nominated for a World Architecture Festival Award.

Underwater Experiments: Astounding Photographs by Alexander Semenov
Alexander Semenov is a Russian biologist graduated in 2007 from Moscow State University’s zoology department where he studied invertebrate animals. Specifically: squid brains.
I’m marine biologist, explorer and underwater photographer, head of the divers’ team at Moscow State University’s White sea biological station. My team and I are used to diving in unfavourable and often harsh conditions where we successfully conduct complex research projects. My own goal is to study underwater life through camera lenses and to boost people’s interest in marine biology, sharing all my finding on social media and in real life through public lectures, exhibitions and media events. I have the amazing opportunity to see beauty in the darkness underwater, and this led me to multiple collaborations with the National Geographic, Discovery Channel, the BBC, Nature, Smithsonian and many more.
I’m also leading Aquatilis Expedition. It represents a new kind of research, one which perfectly blends art and science, and one which involves both regular people and the top minds in the scientific community. We’re preparing to launch in late 2016 as an international team of divers, scientists and videographers on a proposed three-year-long, 35,000-nautical-mile ocean trek to find new species and photograph sea creatures as never before.
You can see more images in his photo galleries or you can follow him on Flickr.

Anna Pan, also known as annaxiin, is a Chinese-Australian illustrator and animation student.
Anna started making art in 2012, at 17 years old. She has grown a substantial following on Tumblr, with each of her drawings typically garnering a couple of thousand notes.
“I definitely started as a way to communicate small ideas as cute little comics, to make others laugh. I think being able to convey emotions through art is still one of the most important things to me. When I started I was going through a pretty tough patch in life and it definitely helped me to stay anchored to the ground, so to speak!”
Outside of art, Anna enjoys music, fashion, and studying different sciences.
“I’ve also recently picked up cooking and it’s made such a huge difference in my life, as well as being a nice break from working all the time!”
Anna derives inspiration from several renowned artists like Hiroshi Yoshida, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Taiyo Matsumoto. She is also inspired by those around her.
“I find that a lot of my close friends and art acquaintances are the most inspiring and always push me to do better and be a better person!”
You can support Anna by keeping up with her here on Tumblr, checking out her website, following her on Twitter, and buying some of her prints.

The Genius of Paul Paetzel
It’s a weird world we live in, isn’t it? Man, it’s strange. All these little oddities that we deal with daily. Some of them we get used to, some of them are kinda cool. Paul Paetzel takes all of the wild of the world and turns it up loud, adds the fantastic to it, colors it with a candy store palette. And it makes all of our machines and people, all our gallantry and savagery seem normal by comparison.

The National Museum of Natural History
In Washington, D.C., the Smithsonian Institution is home to over 126 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, and other artifacts, that represents over 90% of the Institution’s collections. A very small percentage is on public display with the vast majority of the collection stored behind doors. Photographer Chip Clark has given us a glimpse of all the meticulously organized, labeled, catalogued, and preserved items behind closed doors.
