if you’re offline or away and i message you something (like a link to a meme or a picture or w/e) honestly just assume that i’m just leaving it there for when you get back and not expecting you to answer straight away. i don’t need you to respond with “hey, sorry, i wasn’t at the computer!” or anything. i was leaving u a gift for later.
This also applies if you’re online and just don’t want to or have the energy to deal with humans in the moment. Just because we have the ability to reply in real time does not mean we have the obligation.
Lol the big lie from Adrien's view isn't about whether or not Gabriel really was a hero & actually defeated Monarch. It's whether this heroic deed is enough for Adrien to make up for all the hurt, all the abuse he caused him over the years. There's NO doubt he wasn't world's best father. ADRIEN WAS THERE, HE LIVED WITH GABRIEL! It's why what Marinette does to him isn't simply lying it's gaslighting. To make him believe all he lived through IN PERSON is false memory. For the record she both lies about Gabriel's alter ego AND actively rewires his own experiences of abuse. It's not one big lie it's two separate big wrongs.
Once more Asstruc shows off his splendid short-term logic capacity not knowing what's the topic about he set up himself. Why's the 2 second screentime Adrien gets about whether or not Gabriel was a good guy when there's no doubt from his perspective he wasn't? His struggle is, better said, should be the above mentioned. He doesn't need to come in terms with oh he was a great man after all, there's nothing in this area to come in terms with, he knows the truth. The fact that he's struggling with this at all is the result of active gaslighting & Tommy boy not caring about how the big lie reflects on any other character than his dream child
apparently noe is encouraging Chloe to be mean so he can evilize Paris or whatever, so Chloe is again the evil irredeemable character who is following the adults footsteps which she knows will ditch her (just like Andre did) if she doesn't follow their expectations of her, alright then
Yeep. Chloé has literally been in the care/control of bad influences her entire life. Andre, Gabriel, Audrey, Lila, Noe. Lets blame the child though!
Absolute Green Lantern #15 Spoilers: Get Out-Tomared, Sucker
Waiter! Waiter! More Tomar Jo upscales, please!
"...What the fuck does that mean, Kobe Bryant?"
This reads as another effort by the Starheart to free itself, just made vague because of the limitations placed upon it by the Face of Steel. Is it meant to imply a connection to Jo's ring? Does the flame going downward represent Qard leeching away at the Spectrum of Light? Is it supposed to be the sefirot Keter? Who the hell knows?
Plays at being a man of knowledge, but flinches instead of leaning into Katma's touch like a rational person #PassTheControllerDumbass
Big fan of the Blackstar interpretation of Aur, the only real requirement for becoming an Ain at that level is "seeking out knowledge", and from their perspective the ability to just gather more isn't all that without any action to back it.
Even bigger fan of the fact that John immediately accepts Katma's framing of the concept and folds without a single counterargument.
Really interesting application of that "changes in form" application of Rao that Re mentioned. If I had a nickel for every Absolute hero that weaponized their stomach acid...
Very cool description of how Mogo functions as a sapient being, helps to explain why he's such a top-tier Green Lantern in the mainline. "There is only will" and all that.
I can see why Sin Es Tro deems a Tomar in Sur more dangerous than one in Rao. "Correct action" is a vague enough concept that someone whose interpretation isn't shaped by rigid OAn thinking can really just perfectly counter any problem they face provided the approach makes enough sense.
Can't lie, I was not expecting Mogo to come in with the Chair of Steel. The explanation of Sin Es Tro's name is really neat, I can see why Kari referred to it as a "sentence of death", given the words together mean...
Which works as another instance of Blackstar hypocrisy, with even his name just being an allusion to the Face of Steel's catchphrase. So much for "the fire of pure will". The angle of that fancy armor makes Sin Es Tro look an awful lot like Darkseid, but that cyan mask is what really intrigues me. Its blank nature reminds me a bit of the Justifiers' helmets from the mainline (who also happened to be mindless drones deluding themselves with the belief that the "right" to kill with impunity made them free).
Next issue, I'm betting Katma's words along with Sin Es Tro's supposed mastery of the Gold Flame will prompt John to develop his own offensive application of Aur, and that Hal's Magenta Flame will no doubt be the means by which the Evergreen gang survives this encounter.
fan comics discuss this a fair amount, but how much of an actual "cat" does Ladybug think Chat Noir is 😭 is this a "you're too grown to be afraid of lightning" look or a "you're not a real cat, why are you afraid of water" look
I was playing FFXI with a FFXIV buddy of mine and Omega M and F, specifically from TOP, came up. I mentioned that I am particularity down bad for Omega M because he reminds me so much of my Kamen Rider husbando Chase. And then I got to gush about Chase for a bit lol
I'm so mad at "Riginarazione" for that ass parallel they tried to pull! How was it supposed to be convincing!?
Uhh yeah let's make yet another sob story centred around Marinette cause there aren't enough eps that do that already. Let her have another pity party...for a man she barely knows and cut ties with his own family for favouring his conservative racist views
Meanwhile her boyfriend is EXPECTED to be her comfort pillow 24/7 but he doesn't get the luxury to even mourn properly. He doesn't get the bare minimum. He isn't allowed to be angry either. Adrien as an actual victim of abuse, lost both his abusive parents within the same year, is abused by his own girlfriend he needs to baby regardless yet isn't allowed to get closure
Accorrding to the narrative Marinette's loss of her racist grandpa is at par with Adrien's pain!? In what goddamn universe!? She didn't grow up with him, hell only knew him for a few months. Adrien did grow up with his parents and lost BOTH. PARENTS at that! You're never prepared to lose anybody but you sure as hell don't expect to outlive your own parents, not at 14
Let's play their game for a moment - now that Marinette lost a family member she understands Adrien's hurt right? Ehh wrong. Thanks for playing, better luck next time
Thomas Astruc releasing an episode of his popular tv show about Child Neglect and how it’s bad directly alongside an episode where a neglected child is portrayed as an irredeemable monster undeserving of any sympathy
