Missed the Friday Show

The Porn Ban...

So first and for most don’t get me wrong I like porn as much as the next guy, however I think Tumblr purging the porn is going to save it a as platform or at the very least a viable, serious and realistic platform for legitimate blogging, it’s format and execution is unique, it’s social integration is better than most that I’ve seen, Now do I think artistically and tastefully taken nudes should be allowed, well yes Behance has managed to allow Artistic nudes and not crossed over to people having pornographic material on the site, however in Tumblr’s Defense I feel that the amount of pornographic material on this site kinda of forces the hand into extreme measures to say just purge all of it. As for the people crying “censorship” Tumblr just like YouTube, or Twitch or Mixer or any other website is a privately owned business and has the right to redirect their business model in any way they see fit without prior warning or explanation. 

As a Business and a “Blogging platform” to understand a know that your platform is used only for “fapping” blogs that it is viewed as an unofficial porn site I feel that alone could make people feel well disappointed in the direction it has gone and want to bring it back to something a little more legit as a blogging platform. 

Is it sad the porn is gone yes and no, I’m not saying I fully support the choice to purge it all I am however saying I completely understand it and not going to lie due to it and not having the risk of running into porn during searches, I will probably be using this platform significantly more than before this is also as a business decision due to it now being less likely a reader will get distracted by other content on the site (other being porn..duh..).  So though this may not be a popular decision I feel it to be the right made by the site and companies involved and lets see what happens. This is the official blog of The Roaming Self Pod Cast, it is an open format podcast that more often than not is right leaning and at the same time tries to encourage civil discussion about Political, Religious and Social differences in an attempt to bridge the gap that has been growing between everyone and everything from Class, Race, Political alignment, religious preferences.

2. I will always answer you with facts and as little emotion as possible and request that you do the same.

The Woman Whose Son Was Yanked From Her Arms By New York Police Officers Won’t Face Charges

“The consequences this young and desperate mother has already suffered as a result of this arrest far outweigh any conduct that may have led to it.”

     So basically this woman goes into a food stamp office with her child and finds there are no chairs. She sits down on the floor and obstructs the pathway. She is then asked to leave and refuses. The police are called to extricate her from the place and she still refuses to leave. The police can’t hit her with a taser or pepper spray because she’s holding a child. She tries to keep them from getting the child because she can use them as a shield. They finally get the child away from her and arrest her for a myriad of charges including resisting arrest and endangering a child.      Flash forward to this article, and the fucking district attorney refuses to press charges because he basically says that the “desperate” mother has already been through more trauma than is warranted by the acts she committed. Is it just me or does it seem like she’s being let off because she’s black and poor? I’d bet twenty bucks that if this woman were white, she’d still get fucking charged for all of it. Do you wanna know what the funny thing about this whole goddamn situation is though? She had a warrant out for her arrest due to not appearing regarding charges of fucking credit card fraud! I hope the kid at least finds parents who aren’t slimy retarded cheaters.
