So after giving it some thought, the identifier agender suits me best. I've never viewed myself as female (or male) or never desired to conform to either. I do acknowledge the body in which i live in & the label society assigned it, however. I personally don't label nor myself as female. I've stated numerous times what i call/label myself (god/ demigod). I don't expect others to call me that though, so Her/ She is fine. Simply because Her/She sound (feel) the most powerful of all the pronouns.

Google is the latest tech company to drop the longstanding wall between anonymous online ad tracking and user’s names.

Guys, this is really important. Until now, Google collected your data, but did not attach your name to it. Now, they can, and will. This new thing they’re doing will allow them to collect your data across searches, your email, Youtube, Maps, Google+, and all their affiliates, and build a complete profile of YOU.

If that doesn’t bother you, maybe this will: they own and can sell all that data, including anything you create and send (artists and writers, take note).

There is a way you can opt out of this ridiculousness. It’s described in the link, but if you’re still not sure about it, please ask me and I’ll guide you through how to turn all this off.

This is my wake-up call. I’ll be locking down my devices and scaling back what I put through the big Google machine, which means you may see less of me across social media. I’m going to keep researching this, but it may mean in order to keep the rights to my creative work, I’ll have to keep it out of Google’s hands. And that may take some doing.

I just redid my budget last night. I live rent free with gma so rent isn’t a problem. I cut spotify. I don’t have Internet but i am moving in 4 months so i upgraded my phone bill to include mobile hotspot instead so i can look for jobs on my laptop before and after the move (which brings my phone bill to $56 a month.) My problem is the understanding that everything devalues. When I’m out having a good time, i get the impulse to spend (the more the merrier mentality). So I’ve stopped going out so much and let my closest friends know I’m saving to move so i won’t be able to enjoy the festivities for a while.

Crowe on “Why do you think it’s important to preserve black hairstyles?”:

Braiding is a sacred art in a lot of ways because it’s so rich in tradition—a lot of times we don’t really understand how much it means. I’ve always done hair and there were times when [braids] weren’t really as popular and I didn’t do them as much, but [now] all these white girls are coming out wearing cornrows. Someone asked me, “Do you do boxer braids?” and I was like, “You mean box braids? What the hell are boxer braids?” And she was like, “Those braids that Kim Kardashian wears.” Kim Kardashian just has straight-back braids and they aren’t even done that well, they looked pretty popped, and popped in Chicago is not a good thing. Because [braids] are coming out in pop culture and being exploited as a trend in the fashion scene, I think it’s important for me to honor them, before there’s a time when people don’t even remember them as a traditional black art. Plenty of cultures do their own braid styling, but African braiding has its own very long chapter in the history of braiding. I felt charged to make them tangible in a way where I could create an icon that honors my experience with braiding, my love for my clients and a celebration of black feminine beauty coiffeur in my own words, in my own images outside of magazines.
