Well you see. The ingredience for wine are:

And it turns out the yeast aren't really that picky about what kind of sugar you give them, as long as there's enough of it

Hello IEYTD fandom I am coming back at you re: thoughts of a community event of some kind

So a while ago I floated the idea of having some kind of prompt list / challenge / etc. thing running through July, and the general consensus I got back was that a lot of people were interested, but would be busy with art fight at that time. Which is fair!

I’d still like to run some kind of an event to get people Creating and Interacting With Their Fellow Fans, so thought I’d make a post to see what kind of event people would be interested in?

There’s of course your typical prompt list running over the course of a week~month~[insert time period], or something like a Big Bang (Big KBOOM? lmao), or like, the other thought I had was having like a grab bag of different types of prompts (like a list of titles, a list of ideas) and letting people mix and match… we could also do gift swaps, RNG prompts, there are so many options!

The one thing I do know is I’d really like both artists and writers to be able to participate, so we can sort of foster overlap between different fandom ‘subcultures’ as well. So, if you guys have any other ideas for events or any thoughts on what you’d like to do—reply or rb or send me an ask/msg, let me know what you think! (I could even potentially do several of these, I’m kind of fond of Big KBOOM akdhakdsh, just don’t know if everyone will love the buddy system)

The other thing I thought was that it would be fun to do something on/around December 13 specifically. Yknow, like, D.13,, like, I Expect You To D13… so possibly a single day event, or a scheduled prompt list that starts or ends on that date… I dunno!

Let me know what yall might be interested in doing and I’ll make some plans :P

D&D Concept: a lich that runs a hospital

The party somehow finds out that the local hospital in a nearby town/city is run by a lich and they hurry over to investigate. They search the hospital top to bottom, talk to the nurses and patients, and search desperately to see if the lich is killing people under their care, but find nothing.

Turns out the lich is legit, and even offers all his patients an optional form if they want to give up their soul to the lich's phylactery if they die, kinda like an organ donor form. A surprising amount of people are chill with this, since it means the lich can keep providing exceptional care to others like they offered them.

Tip for all Larcin mains, Larcin's second passive (if you uncloak an enemy, they drop their most valuable item,) works with tripwires. So you can set up a tripwire, and just wait for an agent to walk through. As they scramble to get away, you casually walk by and pick up your new VIP key card

So my cousin asked how I describe scenes so well in my writing, and I said "Oh it's easy, I just think in 3D" only to have him explain to me that he can't do that, and that no one else he knows can.

Having both ADHD and autism feels like you're in a constant war with yourself.

Like,

ADHD: "Oh man am I bored! Let's go listen to loud music and watch YouTube videos while I play video games!!"

Autism: "Well I mean, you CAN, but you can only do it for 45 minutes before your head feels like it's going to explode."

And then you become bored again and the cycle continues

Some tropes are so incredibly overdone that it's hard to enjoy because it's the same damn thing over and over again, especially fantasy/Isekai romance. Like, come on, it's not hard to think of a small quirk about your story. For example:

1. A man is Isekai'd to another world, only to find himself in the body of a noblewoman. He then has to navigate how to explain being transgender to a bunch of middle age era people.

2. OT3s instead of love triangles. No offense to any fans of the trope, but I very much dislike love triangles. I feel it adds unnecessary drama, especially when dragged out throughout the whole damn story.

Another easy quirk you can do: subvert character tropes with small details. Example:

1. The short, wimpy, yet extremely good looking royal meets their new body guard that is shorter than them. Could lead to the royal underestimating the guard's capabilities only to be attacked and see the guard absolutely pummel the assaulters. TL;DR, normalize short peeps. Tol is fun, but smol is often overlooked.

2. Absolutely beautiful/handsome person falls for someone who's looks are average/below average. I'm kinda overdone with the whole, "unattractive person chases hot crush." Give me the other way around! "Hella popular person tries to go after the other, but the average person is in complete and utter denial and/or is telling themself that the aren't good enough for Mx. Model."

Am I ranting? Yes. Am I projecting? Also yes. Am I throwing these ideas out into the world in hopes someone will find this and make a story using these ideas? Most definitely not. /s
