The FIVE DAY courses will be taught by Frances Breen & Maeve Clancy (Book Arts), Mary Plunkett and myself (Creative Letterpress) and will run from Monday 26th to Friday 30th August 2013. Creative Letterpress will take place in the beautiful Distillers Press and Book Arts in the adjoining Visual Communication studio. In conjunction with Ireland's renowned Abbey Theatre, the courses will take the theatre’s annual Summer ‘classic’ Irish play, George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Major Barbara’, as inspiration, including a trip to see the production and behind the scenes access to the theatre and archive. A lunchtime lecture and a series of visits to local museums relating to books, printing and Shaw will also form part of the course. http://www.abbeytheatre.ie/whats_on/event/major-barbara/
