I don’t really know anything nor do I care too much but last night I mentioned it to my rather masculine and very straight co worker. He goes “oh Jesus, don’t get me started.” And then proceeds to give me the tea. I’m like “how do you know all this?” He shrugs and goes “eh I like drama.”

New Zealand

So as most of you know, I’m from Australia. New Zealand is our neighbour. A lot of the world either thinks that it’s a state of Australia or leave it of the map. Which usually amuses us. However, New Zealand is one of the best nations in the world. The love and compassion they show for each during good times and bad times is something to be revered. What happened there on Friday, sickens me to my core. To know an Australian man would do that to our neighbours, it just breaks me. There has been a lot of debate in our country on Islamaphobia. We’ve had sentators state that it was the muslims own fault that they we shot and brought it on themselves. These comments have angered a lot of Australians (as I’m sure most of you have seen Eggboi) When will people understand that it’s not the religion that is the problem. Yes muslims have done bad things in the name of Islam. Should we condemn all muslims for the actions of fucking crazy people? No! The answer is no! Always no! Because we don’t blame all Christian’s for the KKK and we don’t blame all Catholics for raping children. Every religion has bad apples. We need to start standing to together to fight the bad apples, not shoot innocent people. My heart is broken. I hope times like these can bring us together instead of driving us further apart.

My boss is a savage

So, I’m not sure I’ve ever mentioned this, but I’m very accident prone. On Thursday, my brain decided to not lift my foot high enough when walking on the loading docks. I tripped and ate concrete, hard! I mentioned it to my 65 y/o boss the next morning and he laughed a little and said “That’s so embarrassing.”

No, boss, I’m fine. Don’t be concerned about my slightly twisted ankle and fucked up knee. I’ll be ok. 😂

Ok, so there is a pet barn near my store and my store allows dogs to come into the store. I have met so many, but haven’t always managed to get pics. But here’s a small handful of good pupperino’s that I have met! (Note:I have posted a couple of these to dogspotting on Facebook)

This is Jimmy, he lost his doggo brother and now can’t be away from his human, because he gets sad. He’s a good boi!

This is Dusty, she’s still a puppy and is the first ever dog for her human! Loves getting treats!

This is Prince, he cost more than $3000AUD. He’s as soft as he looks. (Excuse my poor attempt of hiding myself in the picture)

This is Molly, her dog mum is a silky terrier and her dog dad is a jack Russell. She’s about to go on an adventure with her human parents. Her fur is very silky and soft. #shegetsitfromhermumma

This muscly girl is named Mia or Mimi (as her human calls her). She was found wandering the streets very badly hurt. Nobody claimed her so she ended up being rescued. She has anxiety but she loves getting pets and being near people. Her rooroo’s are amazing!

I have seen so many more amazing doggo’s, but I don’t always have my phone! I hope you like this amazing puppers!

This is Dudley and he’s a little bit blind but his sniffer is amazing! He sniffed out my caramel popcorn immediately. He’s such a good boi!

This is Jax. He adores pats from his human and her roommate. He doesn’t know his human’s roommate is moving out tomorrow. He’s very attached to her. The little guy is going to be devastated. Made sure I gave him extra pats ❤️

Feeling appreciated

Most of the time working in retail is truly a thankless job. Most people are wankers and you spend half the time trying hard not to roll your eyes and the other half trying hard not to hit someone. But sometimes, something happens that makes you feel so appreciated and makes you feel less shitty about working in retail.

So, tonight whilst handing out treats to the trick or treaters at my house, a lady asked me if I used to work for a large department store (insert name). I grimaced and responded “oh...yeah I used too.”

She smiled at me and said, “I thought that was you, you helped me when I was pregnant. You help me get everything I possibly needed for my nursery with my first baby. This is her.”

I looked down and see a six year girl. I helped this lady over six years ago and she still remembered me and how much I helped her. She smiled at me again and said, “Thanks again, you were awesome!”

Sometime customers aren’t so shitty. 😊
