But I wanted to share Uriel and Newt’s clutch! Welcome to the world little babies! I’m so happy that they’re all healthy and doing well! It’s such an interesting mix of morphs and they seem so well tempered. You can see papa in the background. Look at him being a proud parent! Stay tuned for updates!
A California Kingsnake!

This is a California Kingsnake! They are well known for thinking everything is food. They’re opportunists, so in the wild they eat just about everything. They’re well known for eating rattlesnakes, and are therefore “kings” of snakes. As a result they are resistant to rattlesnake venom and pound for pound the strongest constrictor (since it takes a lot of constricting to take down another snake).
They are also pretty docile to humans and have become a common pet! They’re sturdy and have not many complicated husbandry requirements, making great snake pets for beginners. Except for the occasional thinking your hand might be food situation. I have found that target training helps with this, and being so food motivated it’s pretty easy to train them at any age.
They can come in a variety of colors and patterns, but the most favored is the normal black and white banded California Kingsnake. And totally understandable, they’re so cool!!
The highly anticipated clutch!! Aziracrow babies!!!!
Aziraphale is a lavender snow, and Crowley is a hypermel who is het for lavender and albino (meaning she can produce lavender snow morphs). Lavender snow is an interesting morph, as it’s a combination of albino (T-), lavender (T+), and hymermelanism. And we got just about perfect odds, 50% are presenting as hypermels and 50% are presenting as lavender snows. Although, two of the lav snow babies look more like Aziraphale, and the other two appear to be more of a hypermel lavdener. It’s tempting to holdback all of them, but I can’t simply keep them all to myself.

I know it's been a hot minute since we made a post here, but finally getting around to posting pictures of this year's clutches!
This was the clutch between Aziraphale and Uriel. Aziraphale is a lavender snow, and Uriel is an albino het for hypermel and lavender. We can see this proven out from their babies! The results are very interseting, and we see some very interesting patterning, too! I haven’t seen other California Kingsnakes like them!

Here’s Ruby! He’s the papa to our baby garters that were born earlier this year! Forgot to mention in the video that he is an eastern garter and an erythristic flame morph, het albino (both parents are).
