SUPPOSED DATE AND BAND LEAKED FOR 2013 ROCKTOBERFEST:
With October still over half the year away, the minds behind "Rocktoberfest" are already busy with preparations!
The event, which has been an annual occurrence since 2011, is known for bringing the most diverse showcase of local Georgia musicians (both signed and unsigned) together with a nationally headlining act in order to offer Savannah and the surrounding communities a fun full day get away from their normal daily routines and enjoy the talent of upcoming artists. The past two years have featured headliners: The Chariot and Oh, Sleeper.
Recently on Baby Baby's show calendar Facebook event, October 12th in Savannah was added. Comments on the page suggest it was labeled as Rocktoberfest at one point, but the description has since been removed.
Are you excited for Rocktoberfest 2013? Who do you expect on the bill? Let the speculation begin!
BRIDGE NINE RECORDS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM FROM BOYSETSFIRE
BoySetsFire are excited to announce that they'll be recording their first studio album in almost 7 years, marking their first partnership with Bridge Nine Records. BSF guitarist Joshua Latshaw said:
We are excited to announce that Bridge Nine will be releasing the next BoySetsFire full-length in select territories. We could not be happier to be associated with the label, who has put out some of our favorite records and came highly recommended by bands currently working with them. It was their reputation as honest and passionate that was the single most important factor to us in deciding to work with them. Our new record is maybe more punk, maybe faster than our other records but its still a BoySetsFire record. It’s emotional post-hardcore with elements of metal, punk and melody. We can’t wait for you to hear it!
BoySetsFire are currently working on their yet-to-be-titled album at Signal 2 Noise Studio in Newark, DE. The band has a brand new member (Dan Pelic - drums), and old member coming back (Robert Ehrenbrand - bass), a longtime friend officially joining (Rev. Chris Rakus, sharing bass duties with Ehrenbrand) and the three original grayhairs Chad Istvan (guitar), Nathan Gray (vocals) and Joshua Latshaw (guitar) playing together.

BRIDGE NINE WELCOMES ALPHA & OMEGA TO THEIR ROSTER
Alpha & Omega are excited to be releasing their sophomore record, due out in Summer 2013, with Bridge Nine Records.
Alpha & Omega vocalist Luis Hernandez, commented,
Right now A&O as a whole is at a great place. I feel like we've all grown a lot since Life Swallower. These new songs have the aggression from the Devils Bed seven inch and the hooks from Life Swallower. Bridge Nine is a label that I've followed since I was a child. I'm very proud to say that we're putting out a record with them.
Alpha & Omega will begin pre-production for their yet-to-be-titled Bridge Nine debut this month. The band is set to begin recording in March with Kyle Black (and Chad Gilbert of NFG producing).
