... for once, she wasn't lying, however it was questionable if her ship would stand a chance against those of the trading company, but sora knew that this was a special case, after all. she had done a few contracts here and there, however she mostly relied on other trades, some more legal than others, to fill her satchel with coins. "you have been quite generous, lady eun, might i ask if you'd like to keep...", sora kept her voice low, eyes wandering for a moment to check the proximity of any other souls around them, "...if you'd like to keep certain conditions in mind?", the privateer asked, leaning a little bit over the desk.
"not that i would mind, of course.", she quickly added on, letting out a laugh as she leaned back into her chair, arms crossing in front of her chest. "i am quite fond of surprises, so i am curious as to what awaits me at the harbor in shou lung. besides their specialty wine, of course.", she added on, hoping to garner sympathy from the ambassador of trades.
The art of balancing duties as ambassador and business woman came easily to Suah in most respects, her nature to be meticulous and ambitious making the transition smoother than anticipated. Unfortunately for her, her personal secretary did not possess the same talent for multi tasking despite having limitless optimism. Lately it appeared that more and more mistakes were being made due to their disorganization, the latest in the saga being a crucial shipment of luxury silks that was left behind on a ship headed for Shou Lung.
As well as she could finesse a lengthy to do list on her own, even Suah had her limits. After having to sit through several meetings with privateers, pirates, naval captains, scouts, and cartographers for the majority of her day she had reached a state of exasperation.
While Sora speaks she is only have listening, distractedly rubbing her middle and index fingers over her jaw that was sore from remaining clenched for so long. She could hear her speaking, comprehended every word and was able to respond when necessary, but to save her life she couldn't even remember what monologue had lead the privateer to their closing statement.
"And what conditions would those be?" Suah inquires with her eyebrow raised, clearing her throat and standing from her seat in an attempt to regain her focus. She pauses for a moment to recall what she had heard, humming in thought as she pours some wine from a pitcher into a small goblet.
"In my experience, the guards at Shou Lung can be quite inflexible and thorough," She starts in an almost tired tone of voice before continuing, "The biggest nuisance though is the merchant awaiting the silks. He is tight with his coin purse and won't hand over payment until every piece fabric is examined thoroughly. No matter how long it takes you are not leave him alone with the goods until he pays." The second glass is then poured, and politely offered to the other woman with an almost apologetic smile on her face, "You may not have much of an opportunity to indulge yourself in wine while you're there, what if I pay it forward instead?"
