"I don't approve your friendship with my daughter" hey, yeah, so, funny enough, percy does not approve your deadbeat parenting annabeth either
THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT
Art References in Jujutsu Kaisen s3 opening: The Kiss - Gustav Klimt // The Scream - Edvard Munch // Ophelia - John Everett Millais // Dead mother l - Egon Schiele // Two Sleeping Children - Peter Paul Rubens // Camille Monet and a Child in the Artist's Garden in Argenteuil - Claude Monet

The show writers approaching fatal flaws as the simultaneous greatest weakness and greatest strength of a character is actually very genius when you think about how Percy saves Olympus: he trusts Annabeth. He gives the knife to Luke and yields because of his undying belief and faith in Annabeth, and it literally saves the world.
But, it easily could’ve gone the other way. That decision could’ve led to the fall of Olympus. And that’s why it’s one of the only times in the books that his fatal flaw actually feels fatal, even though the outcome is basically the opposite of that.
The show introducing this dichotomy so early on sets all this up so well. Indeed, Percy would burn Olympus down to save Annabeth (and friends), but that type of devotion is what ultimately saves everything in the end.
Anyone here read Red Rising? Bc this shit is feeding my brain worms DAMN. Good soup. I haven't even finished the first book and I'm CONSUMED.
Every episode of Supernatural they ask, "How will we defeat this new and unique monster?" and the answer is "shoot them with guns," mostly.
not being productive or relaxing but a secret third thing
being 20 is insane like ur not even approaching death yet. unlike me, 25,
the introvert urge to say “no worries either way” when you’re actually worrying both ways plus a secret third way
how are you people alive.
Ok so to add smth constructive and not just shit on ppl who may be young and just have innocent questions:
A lot of the history curriculum here in the states makes a point of referring to atrocities and bad governance from the US govt as past tense. Its very sneaky but they somehow manage to inform you of the past while creating a certain amount of distance from it like “isnt it so UNBELIEVABLE that this terrible thing would happen in our great and beloved country??”
So propaganda, for example, would be taught using very obviously bad examples like antisemitic sentiment in germany or some more “neutral” things like rosie riveter. but they would not ask you to look for examples in modern society because they don’t want you to think there are examples in modern society when theyve already spent so much time talking about how bad propaganda can be. I bet you if you ask any average american for an example of propaganda in america theyd say uncle sam or rosie riveter. Most probably think propaganda is either evil like nazis or “harmless” and “good” like the US government encouraging citizens to join the war effort!! (I hope my sarcasm is obvious)
And if thats how you were taught history from elementary to high school you’ll be hard pressed to change that outlook once you get to college (IF you go to college which a lot of people are starting to find less value in anyhow).
So yeah this isnt really a dumb question in fact its really important that we know that people truly dont see things for what they are a lot of the time.
entertainmenttonight: Tom Holland and Zendaya had a run-in with photogs in NYC. The star pulled his girlfriend away from aggressive paparazzi after they swarmed her for photos and autographs on Thursday night.
