I really liked the whole thread of Toto's mom showing up and how Kanit was 100% on Toto's side there, being polite but not fawning or ingratiating, standing behind Toto's choice to kick her out and not take her money. I do want to see Toto and Lew have a conversation about the mom though. I think Lew deserves a say, and Toto needs to talk to her candidly about what he wants to protect her from. With one episode left, and what looks like a time jump, we might not get that I realise.
I also love that while Kanit supports Toto, he also points out that Toto does need financial help and offers it to him in a way that is acceptable, as an investment in the business rather than a gift or even a loan. He's investing in Toto's abilities and work ethic, and he makes that clear. It also makes the business something they're doing together that puts them on equal footing, with him bringing capital and Toto bringing expertise and sweat equity. Both are needed for the business to be successful. I also love that he pushed back on the chair, but conceded that Toto was right about the office. He won't compromise on Toto's comfort and health, but he also isn't trying to change him. Man, this pair is lining up next to the Doku Koi couple as my all-time faves.
There are so many things I love about how their relationship has been developing since they've started dating, but I particularly appreciate how Kanit is becoming more openly horny, because it's both a reflection on his natural inclination, and also indicative of what he needed from a partner to be able to express that part of himself.
It makes it even more clear that Lion was a man who was very focused on his own pleasure, whereas you 100% know that Toto is watching Kanit's face in utter delight at he takes him apart at the seams.
I think Toto and Kanit might be the first BL couple I'm actually jealous of. Like FINE you somehow found the best person for you out in the wild, and y'all have a mature, communicative, supportive, sexy, fun relationship FINE.

How’s married life? Good. Actually, I think it’s really good. I think it’s filling something I was missing in my life. I don’t need anything else now.

oh okay so it’s gonna be a banger
We got satang new pair titan
I’m certainly intrigued!
This is just my opinion but. A queer piece of media being “realistic” and/or overly depressing, doesn’t make it a masterpiece of social commentary. It’s kind of annoying that that’s what many people default to. I understand that sad stories need to be told but. It can’t be a masterpiece if it’s silly. It can’t be a masterpiece if it has a happy or hopeful ending. I’ve talked with my mom about this too. The amount of jbls that people put on a high pedestal just because according to them it’s “realistic” (and incredibly depressing) … it’s disappointing. (There’s many serious jbls that tackle realistic and depressing issues that I absolutely love though.)Sad queer stories with sad endings used to be all we got. But now that there’s more kinds queer stories, why do we only praise sad ones as masterpieces? I don’t know. If yall think that this is a silly take, lmk. I do have an overly mushy heart after all.
A Dog and a Plane // Episode 8
"you have to be my finish line" is an insanely sweet quote How is anyone supposed to hear that and not immediately lose it?
I wish the last two episodes would show Toto finally understanding he doesn't need to prove anything to Kanit's father and help Kanit stop caring about what his family thinks of him and his achievements. I would even approve of their little startup if it's something he's passionate about and helps improve his life, not something he does because he feels less than Kanit.
Them realizing he's doing the same thing Kanit did with Lion would be the cherry on top (trying to "get to his level" because he feels inferior)
So Veha was dating a man he knew had a boyfriend for a whole year and even dared to taunt said boyfriend multiple times, and in a very mean way. Yeah he regrets it now but only after the breakup spectacle, and hasn't apologised or tried to make amends with Kanit at any point.
Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? Because I can't.
