"I know I wasn’t best tenant back then" I growl, but try to get a hold on my temper.
"It would be nice to see him again, though"
"Why do you want to see him again? Don’t you think you hurt him enough already?"
"Where else can I go?" he tilted his head. "Besides, I try not to mess up this time around"
"Do you think you could just come back and act like nothing happened?"

Ryou awoke to the sound of crying. It was still in the middle of the night when he heard Libra’s voice.
He frowned, growing worried as he moved out of bed. He walked out of his room and moved across the hallway to the guest room. He raised his hand and gently knocked on the door. “…Libra? Are you okay?” he asked softly.
Maybe it would be the second biggest mistake of my life, but something inside me wants to get this truth out. Never before did I tell anyone, so why now? What makes me think I could trust him enough to share this secret with him?
Not knowing the answers to any of these questions I open my mouth. "It was no dream…"
The young man paled, pulling back slightly. Why would she kill her own family?
"…W-why did you…kill them?" Ryou asked in a quiet voice.
[okay, screw first person :D]
"I…" her voice broke. "M-my father…" She noticed the other one moving away and her conficende broke even more. But there was no turnign back now. "My father deserved it. He was a criminal. with his help, dozens of people died. If I wouldn't have done it, nobody woule have ever punished him... But without him, there was nobody left to feed my family. My mother kicked me out because now she couldn't take care of me and my younger brother. I don't know what happened to them."
After she finished her report, she listend into the darkness, not daring to say another word.
Black and White
Libra blinked. “For real? Thank you a lot, that’s very nice.”
Carefully she took one the rice rolls and placed it in her mouth. The food itself wasn’t exactly special; similar to what you could get everywhere in this country. The quality however was a lot better than what you could expect from any super market. She smiled brightly. “Mmmh, those are great. May I have another one?”
"Sure!" Ryou chirped with a smile. He picked at another section of the box with his chopsticks and took his own bite.
He always liked it when someone complicated his cooking.
She took another one out of the box.
"You know, I live here for a few month now but I still don't know how to make those. Would you teach me? I could teach you some Egyptian recipes in return if you like."
Moving in
She nodded. “Sure, sounds alright. I’ll be right back.”
She headed into the kitchen to grab her wallet and her jacket, which still hung on a chair. a second later she returned.
"Are you ready?"
"Yeah!" Jonouchi flashed her a smile when she returned to his side.
After the door had been locked, he lead the way to the elevator at the end of the hall. Once they were outside, the lights of the city was the first thing that the blonde’s eye. The lights lit up the night sky, making it near impossible to see stars.
"This is one thing I do like about Domino is the view at night," he commented with a faint chuckle.
Libra stopped to take in the sight.
"It looks like a real city. Like the ones from the stories. The ones with the endless opportunities."
She took a deep breath of the night air and took a step to show she was ready to continue.

20. Your muse shows up on my muse’s doorstep late at night, wet, feverish, and covered in blood.
((Pfft ok! This is going to be interesting!))
I lie in my bed, my eyes closed as I nestle firmly under the covers, trying to stay warm in the cold night air. I shift uncomfortably. My nights are always disturbed, nightmares from my childhood disturbing me and keeping me from resting fully. I press my face into the pillow, grumbling quietly to myself. I am exhausted and all I want is an actual night’s sleep, where I will not be disturbed and I don’t have to relive the most horrific memories of my life.
Unfortunately, fate is not on my side tonight, either. Just as I close my eyes, almost ready to drop off, a pounding rings through the air. I groan. I debate just leaving it, not wanting to leave my warm cocoon of sheets, but there is no way I will be able to continue sleeping through that racket. I snarl.
Clambering to my feet, I turn and stumble towards the front door, growling. Whoever this is had better have a damn good reason for disturbing me at this hour, when my sleep is difficult enough as it is. I pull the door open and growl, “What the fuck do you want?!” However, my eyes widen when I see the young woman standing on the doorstep. Her long black hair is matted, blood staining her clothes. It is pouring with rain so she is drenched and shivering. Despite myself, I lean closer, my interest piqued.
I watch her closely as she tells me her story. It is believable enough, especially as it explains why she would be out alone in the dark at night with no one to accompany her. Still, something about this entire situation just feels a little too … convenient. As if the Gods are playing games with destiny again.
"…I see." I decide to believe her for now. I stare openly at her, taking in her ragged appearance with a slight crease in my brow. "…Then it is nice to meet someone from my city. You’re the only one here that I’ve met."
I nod. “Yes, it is nice.” But my attention is focused on my reflection in the kitchen window. I look horrible. Wet, dirty, bloody. More to myself than to him I mutter: “I am sorry for looking like this…” But I instanly shake my head and go back to the topic. "May I ask why you moved to Japan?"
I wave a hand breezily. “I don’t care what you look like. Especially if you were just attacked.” I pause for a moment, thinking. What the socially correct thing be in this scenario? Should I offer to let her use my bathroom, or lend her some clean clothes? Not that I have anything that would fit.
Uncertain, I decide merely to answer her next question. “…You can ask. My family disagreed with my way of life, so I came here.” It’s a much shortened version of the true story, but it will do for now.
"Oh. Hm, yes, parents can be... difficult. Actually I am here for a similar reason. I had an... argument with my father. And eventually I was forced to leav..."
There is something about the way I said it, that makes it obvious I am not telling the whole story, just like he isn't.
Black and White
Libra stared at the lunch. She wasn’t expecting something so… tidy. Yes, she saw it before. In restaurants, as lunch at home or made by the cafeteria staff. Seeing such organisation in a lunch box, made by a boy who usually sits alone, was a surprise.
"That looks wonderful." Her eyes wandered to her own bored slices of bread. She felt shabby, combared to Ryou, as if she hadn’t showered or was covered in dirt. Her expression clearly gave away how she now felt about her lunch.
The teen smiled. “Thanks…” The smile fell quickly when he turned and noticed Libra crestfallen expression. Thinking to himself, he pushed his bento towards her. “You want to try some of it?”

I look silently into the dark corners of the room. My moth opens. Ryou would be the first one to hear about my nightmares.
"I dreamed I was standing in front of my father. My younger brother and my mother lay in front of me, dead. I was the one who killed them. Then I stepped over their dead bodies towards my father and cut his head off with the bloody executioner’s sword in my hand."
No sobbing follows this report. I just sit there, silently, avoiding Ryou’s eyes.
Ryou’s eyes widened at the description. That sounded terrifying.
"…Libra-chan…" It made him wonder if something terrible happened in her past to make her have nightmares like that.

Nervously she rubbed her foot on the ground. “Actually I’d rather go out. This place is still a mess. Urm, is there any place you’d recommend? I don’t know this town so well yet.”
Jonouchi stuffed his hands into his pockets as he thought to himself. “There’s a decent cafe down the street from here,” he explained. “It’s near downtown.”
She nodded. "Sure, sounds alright. I'll be right back."
She headed into the kitchen to grab her wallet and her jacket, which still hung on a chair. a second later she returned.
"Are you ready?"
:/ "people should stop asking you those questions. it's none of their business."
"W-well…I guess that’s what I get for opening it up for people to ask me questions, huh?"
"… no. Why would people start asking you about your sex life just because you allow questions? What’s even so interesting about it?"
Absolution
"I know" I shrug. "But not like I care about your opinion and as long as you won’t get into my way, we should get along just fine"
"So, what exactly happened since my last encounter with Pharaoh?"
"He went to the afterlife and the items got buried deep underground. And then they suddenly reappeard when you came back. What else do you want to know?"
"Is my host still around? I’m unsure how much time passed since I saw him" I shrug, pretending not to care that much. But seeing familiar face would be… nice. And knowing the kid, he’ll take me in in a heartbeat.

"That’s a good question" he sighed. "I’m not sure why I was brought back and I’m quite curious to know that"
"Oh?" Curiously I raise an eyebrow. But after a brief moment of irritation my anger comes back. "Why did you come here? Why did you sneak up at me?"
"The Ring led me here" I reply as if it was most obvious thing under the sun. "As for sneaking up, I had to be sure you’re not just random passerby" I shrug.
"I see. You do realise your credibility isn't the highest, right?"

It wasn’t my first time having this dream and so, when I wake up after a few shakes, It doesn’t take me long to realise where I am and who is standing in front of me. Even in the darkness his white skin and hair are clearly visible, like a ghost.
"Thank you Ryou. A- and sorry for waking you up."
Ryou shook his head, taking a seat on the edge of her bed. “It’s alright. I was worried when I heard you crying…”

Moving in
The door closed behind Jonouchi and Libra turned towards the huge bunch of boxes in the bedroom. She sighed, rubbed her hands and began to open the boxes. It was impossible to know where to start. The pile of towels went to the bathroom and landed on the floor. out of the next box she pulled a bag with cheap ugly silverwear. well, at least it would fit the cheap ugly drawer. Libra shook her head. This entire flat totally needed an utter redesign. The next box to follow was a wall cupboard for the kitchen made of birch wood and totally not fitting the wood used for the rest of the interiour. But without finding the hammer first she wouldn’t be able to build it together.
Finally there was the knock on the door. Happy to get a beak from her the unpacking Libra went to the door and opened it, finding the friendly blond man in front of it. She smiled. The time she’d spend with him would be a relaxing pause. She smiled, bowed and greeted him.
"So, uh…you want to go out or stay in your place?" Jonouchi asked, rubbing the back of his neck out of habit. He kept his friendly smile in place.
Though one thing that was noted was how he wore a long-sleeved jacket over his shirt compared to earlier.
Nervously she rubbed her foot on the ground. "Actually I'd rather go out. This place is still a mess. Urm, is there any place you'd recommend? I don't know this town so well yet."
Brightly smiling I stand in front of Ryou's door. I have been looking forward to this Saturday all day. The sky is blue, the sun shines brightly. Happily I ring the door bell, already looking forward to going to the cinema with him.
Ryou’s eyes widened when she heard the doorbell ring. She forgot that she had promised to go to the movies with Libra today! This was bad! Really bad! She couldn’t let anyone see her like this!
"…L-Libra-chan!" she squeaked out through the door. "C-can we reschedule the movies? I’m not feeling too well…" Her voice sounded very high-pitched.
Ryou shook her head. “…I-I guess not…” she sighed. He pulled the door open wider so that Libra could be let inside.
I step inside and pat his shoulder. “It’s just the shock. maybe you should lie down. Shall I bring you a drink?”
She gave another shake of her head. “I-I’ll be okay…” she insisted before going to sit on the couch. “I just feel…odd…”
I nod slowly and sit down next to him. "I suppose it feels different, yes. But trust me, you'll be fine. I have been a girl for my whole life and am still standing. And you won't even have to go through the worst part because it's only for today."

Like usually Libra entered the cafeteria togehter with her class mates the next day. But this time she didn’t sit down on their table, causing surprised looks. As she said “See you after lunch time” and headed of towards the table where one boy was sitting alone, one of the girls stoped her with the question where she was going. It was the same girl who yesterday made a coment about her date.
"I’m going to my so called boyfriend." The answer came out more angry than intended but the look on the girls face told Libra that she understood not to make fun of it any more.
Libra walked towards the table, placed her rucksack on the ground and set down with a friendly “Good morning”. Out of her rucksack sche pulled a small lunchbox and opened it. It was filled with nothing special, just a few slices of bread with different toppings.
Ryou smiled brightly when he saw Libra sit down beside him. “Morning!” he chirped.
He had a small bento box open in front of him. It was filled with a wide variety of small dishes ranging from leftover meat cuts to rice. The sides were all arranged in carefully placed separate compartments.
The young man held his chopsticks down towards his food.
