USS ENTERPRISE (CV-6) docked at Southampton, England.
"On that voyage, she carried 4668 servicemen home from Europe; on her next voyage, she carried another 4413 military passengers from Southampton, arriving in New York on Christmas Eve 1945. Her last Magic Carpet voyage took her to the Azores, where she picked up 3557 passengers, including 212 WACS, returning to New York on January 17, 1946. The next day she moored at Bayonne, New Jersey: a proud ship, but never to sail under her own power again."
Photographed sometime between December 1945 and January 1946.

Almost done, old girl. And then you can rest.
The conversation around abortion shouldn’t be “are you absolutely sure you want an abortion” it should be “are you absolutely sure you want a child”. You can get pregnant again. You can adopt. But you can’t half-heartedly raise a child or change your mind midway through parenthood. Children are a huge responsibility and if someone isn’t 110% sure they are willing and able to do it, they shouldn’t. Having a baby shouldn’t be the default because of how extremely demanding and difficult parenthood is and the irreversible damage it does to a kid to be raised by someone who didn’t even fully want parenthood and wasn’t prepared for that level of responsibility.
#NOT HAVING A BABY SHOULD BE THE DEFAULT. HAVING A BABY SHOULD BE SOMETHING YOU ONLY DO IF YOU’RE SURE YOU WANT TO.
God yes.
That’s why I take being an aunt so seriously: because I know and value how important it is to take care of a kid, and that I don’t have the resolve in me to do it 24/7.
"You'd care if they broke into your house and shot you dead"
I'm pretty sure ANYONE breaking into my house and shooting me dead would annoy me. But I am not gonna sit there bleeding out thinking to myself "hmm, I wonder what was the legality of their migration to this country", because I am NOT FUCKING RACIST.
Also funny how people's first thought when hearing something along the lines of "immigrant" is some kind of violent criminal. You are kind of self reporting there buddy.

“what is something that is always true?”
pleased to report that in Tim Curry's memoir he is tight-lipped on every single love affair he's EVER had, except of course for the one with Miss Piggy during the filming of Muppet Treasure Island, which he rightfully insists was a quite passionate encounter
