Early on in my lettering days, I found myself constantly doubting whether or not I should post my art out to the world. I got to occasionally letter for my day job, but wasn’t confident enough in my skills. I stumbled upon this quote from Amy Poehler and quickly sketched a version out on my iPad and it encouraged me to put myself out there, because I probably would never really feel “ready”. Last year I found myself revisiting the piece and making it better after a year of steady practice and I loved the improvements I made, had I not taken the leap I would have never gotten better at it. Here’s your sign to do the damn thing! 💕✨
