Even without people making me feel bad, it’s annoying.
Like, yeah, I have three thousand great ideas. But my brain won’t let me do anything about them.
Chasiubao ( the bottom right) is a favorite of mine growing up! It’s a Cantonese classic. Many Chinese bakeries and restaurants in Chinatowns across the US will have a version that’s baked instead of steamed. And it’s also delicious. Probably my favorite incarnation of it.

Cloak is way too long and it’s unfit for urban living. Could you imagine trying to walk through a subway with it? It’ll drag and get filthy. Now, it went to the upper thigh? Perfect.
The other issue is frankly the lack of color. Black and white really is only good for your wedding and a funeral. When I wear a suit, it’ll always be a royal blue or like a silver gray. The mainstream suit for business is navy blue and dark grey.
Anyways, back to colors. I’d like to see something more with stamped wool and for a really high end piece some silk like this image here. Pin it with a brooch. Maybe a circular one for ease and you’re good to go.
I’d also like to see doublets make a return. Think a jacket that takes in nicely at the waist. You can do this regardless of weight as human beings just naturally have a space between their ribs and their hip bones.
Of course, this necessitates a return of tailored and custom fashion but for high end suits we were already doing this. So no big deal really.

The biggest Democratic win in swing states means nothing if democrats don't turn out everywhere to keep the reliably blue states blue.
VOTE. Wear appropriate weather gear if you think you may have to stand in a line outside (coat, hat, gloves, umbrella, sunhat, whatever, you know where you live). Bring water and a snack and something to do (book, game on your phone, podcast and headphones, whatever, you know what you like). GO VOTE.

I love all of these. The angel of the the deep's wings are canvas, held up by an anchor. The angel of war's wings are blades, and its shield is a coffin. The angel of solace is a mutant, its arms deforming into wings. Geiger counter in hand, it guides us through the danger only it knows. Was this angel once a man? Corrupted now beyond hope, he can at least save others from the same fate.

Since I've never been to the US, I can't say what the difference would be.
Usual fare for me is sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and a portion of prawn crackers.
Oh totally. Sweet and sour chicken is totally something a lot of general Chinese places have here.
I’m half-Chinese by ethnicity and a lot of our food was adapted to what we had on hand. So I’m curious as to how it developed in the UK.
Of course, we have more local food relevant to what we ate back in China. But those are especially likely to be found in big cities

Absolutely necessary. Gambesons, the padded arming jackets worn under armor, are anywhere from 8-16 layers of cloth that have been closely quilt-stitched together. Great for staying warmer in winter, but horrific in summer. (Also incredibly stinky from acting like a sweat sponge for hours on end.)
I wear a lighter arming doublet beneath my breastplate and arms (thinking about adding maille voiders in the future).
The doublet is the hot part of the armor and the most annoying to put on.
It does not have buttons. It is laced and it is essentially a primitive corset.
That doublet takes longer than my breastplate and entire arm armor to put on.
After a few hours of fighting, it is just like that picture: the most liberating thing to get out of.
Half-plate armour. Don't think he's done one in full plate but the difference would negligible.
The myth that people couldn't fight in the armor they wore... to fight in. Is as bizarre as it is insidious.
Mark Twain helped popularize the idea that Medieval armour was incredibly heavy.
But it is 100% THE most bizarre historical untruths ever.
I fence with greatsword and I fence in plate armor but I haven’t done it simultaneously.
The torso protection is curved in at the waist at a certain point where you can bend freely. The arm harness doesn’t prevent you from bending your arms.
The only real limiter would be gauntlets but the armor development into that period has gauntlets were there isn’t much of a cuff to catch yourself on.
Gothic gauntlets probably work best for this. Mitten gauntlets…less so probably

I’ve done the subway ride in half armor and maille haubergon before! Some folks got a few good photos of me and they thought it was cool.
If I had a suit of armour, I wouldn’t know whether to have it fully blackened, go the route with black and silver, or just bare metal.
Have you considered steel with brass trim?
If I ever go gothic, I’m strongly considering a blacken harness with brass trim.
