Though you would be terribly drunk and hungover in the morning, but what is abnormal about that when it comes to us? Apparently we have quite the reputation for waking up in the morning and not remembering the previous night. I enjoy it. If you’re going to party, go all out. I do have plenty of shoes, many of which I have lost during such nights…. Waking up with only one shoe on has always made me wonder. Being more joyful to be around than Mother is something I have always prided myself on, as it is very true. Her jealousy has never suited it well, yet she’s worn it for as long as I can remember. Lucinda has certainly done that, I’ve been quite proud of her so far this year. I only hope she continues on doing so.
That sounds like heaven. That's why hangover potions were created, love. Yeah, Emma told me we do; I'm not surprised and can't say I'm disappointed. That just translates to me that we know how to have a better time than everybody else. Waking up missing an item of clothing is always something I enjoy pondering, it's like a missing piece of a puzzle, if you can find it you can find out just exactly how wild the night was before. Jealousy is an ugly mask on her, that nobody can deny, but you know mother - she thinks everything looks beautiful on her, so I doubt she'll put away that little green monster any time soon. I'm sure she will, I think she rather enjoys having more friends.

Would you have fought for me Amycus? Laid down your life in front of mine? I don’t think you would have…friends would be happy for me and yet none of you are. He doesn’t have to choose a side in this! There’s no word that you have to choose a side. People have their own lives to be taken care of and he isn’t the kind of person to fight. There’s no need to fight if people just got along. The only people who have ever loved me was Sirius, Reg and Cissa and I don’t think the last two even care. If you guys were the friends I thought you were, you’d try and see where I’m coming from in this situation. That we do. Perhaps without dear mum and dad there on the holidays, we may actually have a good time without having to sneak away. Our house elves may get bored after long periods of time with having no one to wait on, though I’m sure I can always manage to find them something to do. The fact that mother is proud of anything pertaining to me is nothing less than shocking, though she makes a formidable opponent in the battle for who is more bossy. It always gave me great joy to disobey her, and it came so easily at such a young age. Some women are bossy, and then…yes, some women are like Lucinda, who will do what is necessary to get what they want. Even if that something is throwing a tantrum until people are so annoyed they cave.
It's guaranteed that we'll have the best holiday's without them around, we can have actual fun instead of maintaining their level of graces. I can drink scotch with dinner instead of wine, and scotch at brunch instead of champagne. I'm sure you'll keep the house elves plenty busy, you can just ask them to organise your shoes. Mother makes anything a battle, she can't stand to be outdone, you know that. She hates the fact that you still have your youth and your way more beautiful than she ever could be. But of course, some traditions must remain. I’m sure you’ll never truly be alone unless you have to sleep. I imagine we’ll be keeping ourselves quite busy once we’re out of here. Ah, yes- telling house elves what to do, one of my many talents. You tend to perfect certain acts when you grow up constantly repeating them. That had always been one of the few things mother admired about me, I got stuff done. Merlin knows I had my closet rearranged for the hell of it multiple times just because I was bored. Not that they ever complained of course. People around here could definitely learn a lesson or two from them. Of course Lucinda didn’t mind, it was probably music to her ears. People are still getting used to the idea that she’s changed a bit, many are still warming up to her. Strange gender, yes… A headache to figure out, but it can be fun.

You’ll be spending them with me, of course. We’ll certainly have our own fair share of house elves to choose from, though I do enjoy Binky myself. They’re always so obedient and good at keeping secrets, a tiny part of me is quite fond of them. The beady eyes have always thrown me off though. Brother of mine, I would never truly expect you to act upon such feelings. It always helps to be aware however, allies at such times are crucial. But if you did…there are worse matches than Lucinda, of course. Perhaps you could even be the one to convince her to finally declare her allegiance. I don’t know what could go wrong, or what is going wrong, but she won’t do anything about it. Says she would rather just wait for it to pass, which isn’t exactly normal. Not when a simple potion which is at our disposal would make it all go away quickly.

I do believe they will somehow manage to deal with their grief once we are gone once and forever. Perhaps once every….five years or so I’ll pop by for five minutes on Christmas. So long as we believe in each other, their opinions are of no importance to us. We know what we’re capable of, and in due time will be able to prove it. I am no matchmaker Amycus, more often than not people make me sick when they’re happy. I’m just pointing out that I think she has some feelings, but I could be wrong. We’ve never been the type of friends who actually talk about important or personal things. With Emma, Rabastan seems to be doing….all right, so far. She seems to be sick lately but keeps dismissing it. They’re…strange, and have been since the engagement thing began.
Ah, I haven't even thought about going back to visit them... I don't know what I'm going to do with Christmas dinner, do you think I can convince father to uphold Binky on to me? Awe but the thought of you playing around with little tykes is so adorable, they’d call you uncle Amy. Of course they’re naive they are kids. Mmhm just a bit. Well I’m glad you’re keeping an open mind about it, it would be nice to actually see you with someone you know. See a slightly more romantic Amycus walking around. That's because we're blokes and we know what to expect. If we have a girl, all guys will be trying to lay her - and she'll be stupid enough to fall for any lines they have. And if it's a guy, we're going to want to hit him over the head constantly for using such cheap pick up shots. Honestly, it's a hopeless lose-lose situation.
