That person calling Anthony homophobic reminds me of how racist half of this fanbase is, how are you going to say 'he just gives you a vibe that he's homophobic', that's like saying Seb has had some questionable moments about his views on race so he shouldn't be costars with black people then? and that his interactions with men gives off 'no homo' despite being flirty, what does that even mean. Anthony has deliberately sought out gay roles before- he's been in Whats your Number with Chris Evans as a gay best friend, he's been in a play where he played a gay lover, a movie called Brother to Brother a gay man, and also in Black Mirror specifically to challenge what sexuality means for men, especially black men. The fanbase is so obsessed with looking at their white faves every move and they dont know shit about Anthony, they dont know that he was married to his childhood sweetheart, or that he's now divorced, they don't know about his kids, they dont know his journey in Julliard, they dont know his family survived hurricane katrina but he lost his mother, they dont know about his father and how he influenced him before he died, they dont know that once his mother died his father tried to toughen him up (apparently his sister used to make mackie dress in feminine clothes to play with her) or that his siblings raised him, they dont know he's the baby of his family, or that his brother came out as gay in a homophonic community which is likely why he decided to challenge his own beliefs and how he was raised- they're just judging him to judge him, and it's stupid and toxic, Anthony- instead of doubling down on how his dad brought him up, took steps to go against what his community believed in, he has a strong personality BECAUSE of how his parents taught him, and how his siblings raised him, people who dont like him have the right, but don't pretend you know who he is.
