#wealthy patron please.. please wealthy patron..#your kind helps great art get made #last night i confirmed my ‘current’ ipad is gen 2. theyre on gen 8 now. gen 7 came out in 2019.#i feel like i got the oldest possible ipad that could work with the pencil so i could afford the big screen #and now it struggles to handle a file with layers. a small file.#my fears of being greedy vs my stubborn belief i make good use of the things i have #a sum of money can get me drawing again is my reality right now #and it will take me 1-2 years to save up that money #id rather be drawing NOW.#that old ipad has thousands of hours of art on it and like four hours of gaming #the pencil has razor-thin cracks forming from #my years of death grip for steady lines #i cant charge the pencil without unplugging the ipad because its the original style with lightning connection #i have one lightning cable left. theyre going obsolete.#just my situation.#i have everything else i need to make music and program and 3d model #video edit and all sorts #but not digitally draw.#ive been using grid paper for notes but now im mad how lost all thoughts are #scattered around my room. unable to adjust details if needed.#SQUIRTLE IM DYING #but not really #im okay please trust #everyone deserves one rich persons two thousand dollars. okay?#safe to reblog

#thinking about the curse so here lemme break it down real quick #my curses:#my first time with something is always insane #(old curse) (havent experienced it in a while) (notable example being my first time with weed)#the gnome curse: i will rhyme without any self control. i’ll make anything into a little jaunty tune. subject matter irrelevant.#the customer curse: there will always be one customer in the store so i cant do side tasks. one customer can be in the store for 45 minutes #and that customer will walk out to be immediately replaced by another #like this is a crazy one for me. the auto doors dont even close. one leaves as the new one enters #the general ‘rule’ is that if something bad happens #it goes as bad as it possibly can. comically so.#old curses include: the hand twitch while holding something that really shouldnt be flung #and laughing uncontrollably in somber situations #believing i am cursed is enriching for me #but also ive got to try and not be such a downer because ive been on the recieving end of a relationship #where the other person believed everything in their life would always go wrong. ‘murphy’s law’#and i ended up just being another one of those things that went wrong #its a terrible feeling when you care about someone
