When it finally ends, when all of it ends, there was a calm, and the world tried to move on. It laid lost heroes to rest, and created new ones, and achingly, step by step moved on. But some couldn't. Some people couldn't let go of the past, and what was lost, and what they might be able to improve upon. Now that people knew time travel was possible, why couldn't they recreate it and try again? Maybe the real solution would be to just get rid of the heroes all together, the mutants, the unexplainable. Tweaking the trajectory of the infinity stones was enough, using them to plunge our heroes, and our villains, into a splitting timeline, one very similar but not the same as our own.
