Kyiv after today's russian missile strike
â EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS OPEN! â
My country is experiencing a traumatic natural disaster.
I made a comic to make it more digestible.
Shares appreciated, I'm just trying to bring awareness here
Psssst, hey guys. Just wanted to let you know I'm doing Art Fight for the first time this year! You can find me here!
Feels pretty strange to be back in Whirled. Well, at least a shell of its former self, kinda.
Someone's been asking me to join this site called Whirled.Club since last year, which is pretty much an exact copy of the original Whirled.com from what I've seen so far.
It has the same old rooms and the same old games, and it has pretty much every feature the original had. It's kinda nostalgic so far.
But of course it doesn't have, or never truly will, the same soul and quality of original Whirled. It all looks the same, yet it feels a bit empty without all the good old creators and friends that were around all those years ago. Sadly, most of their names have slipped my mind. But what I wouldn't give to have those old Whirled years back, surrounded by great artists again. (Like .StudioM., EwoudCP, and of course you, @jitterzart boop boop! And so, so many others)
I guess I'll hang around for a bit and see what this site has to offer over time. Maybe even publish a backdrop or two, as I've been sought out to bring them back, if possible. I guess we'll see! (PS: Although I will admit, the one thing I'm very on the fence with so far, is that they've brough back Club Whirled again on this site. If you pay real money, you'll get in-game currency (bars) and a free avatar each month. Now that is all fine, of course. However, they are reposting old Club Whirled avatars from the original site without crediting or paying the original artists. So that's kinda sus.)
People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.
Once someone tagged art that I made with "woah" and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said "oh neat" once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don't even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I'd probably cry from joy.
I'm also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it's hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.
It sounds like Tumblr is gonna start getting more into AI generated images in the near future, possibly making a deal with Midjourney.
Soo... welp! If that's the case, then I will probably end up not posting here at all to protect my future art from theft. I guess we'll have to see.
But if anyone wanna continue to follow my work, I now post more actively on my BlueSky profile!
Once again ruzzian terrorists attacked Ukraine
They used a mix of ballistic and supersonic missiles
The following images and video footage are from Kyiv, you can imagine what other cities that have been hit look like
Everything that has been deemed a target by ruzzians is a residential building or is an area near residential buildings
Keep talking about Ukraine, keep supporting Ukraine, and most importantly don't forget that ruzzia is doing terrorist acts and destroying us because we are Ukrainian
The mass attack from tonight was the 6th one since 29th of December
In the pic below are all the dates (Dec 29th, Jan 2, Jan 8, Jan 13, Jan 23 and Feb 7) of mass attacks and how many missiles/uavs/etc has been sent to attack our cities and how many were shot down
The lil asterisk near one of the dates means that about 20 targets didn't reach their destinations thanks to radio echolocation combat stuff
So you can imagine the fucking terror we live in
And some updates about the injured and killed in today's attack: in Kyiv, at 1 PM, the official number of people found dead under the rubble is 4 so far, 16 are injured, 60 more people have been evacuated Update: the number of injured people in Kyiv rose to 38
I swear, once I learn how to draw proper and presentable NSFW art no one will be safe
Is it too early to start reblogging this or?
Its never too early to start reblogging this
I love how one set was not enough for him
Just a warning, I will be reblogging this every time I see it for the next week.
Finally
Itâs back on my dash after many years of being dormant
I'm on BlueSky now!
Hey guys! I went MIA for a month due to vacation, but once the Christmas rush is over and done with, I'll resume my sketching!
In the meantime, I finally got myself an account on BlueSky! I'll be posting my regular stuff over there too, but I'll also include sketchdumps of doodles I make and normally wouldn't post anywhere else. So if any of you wanna hang out over there as well, just drop by!
You can find my BlueSky is right here!
Important NaNoWriMo reminders:
âïž Avoiding burnout is your most important goal as a writer.
âïž Taking care of yourself is more important than meeting arbitrary word counts and deadlines.
âïž Every time you take care of your mental and physical health you are winning.
âïž Your story will be there to work on as long as you are there to work on it.
âïž Your writing community will still support and be proud of of you for taking care of yourself and knowing your limits.
âïž Once you burn out it can take months or years to get back to writing, but if you work at a steady and manageable pace you can just keep moving forward.
