The fear and guilt still plagued your mind from that moment second line appeared over the pregnancy test, you had committed a sin many wouldâve been thrilled to have done in your place. Two months later you were already showing signs of pregnancy and you knew you had to leave as soon as possible, so you did, you disappeared from the Wayne Family like a ghost and never looked back even after your pup was born. Almost a year later and here you were face to face with the barrel of a gun and your wailing infant in your arms.
âDidnât I say to shut that little shit up? Or do you want a bullet in your skull stupid bitch!â, the robber growled slamming the butt of the gun into your temple as the other bank hostages gasped and pleaded for your safety.
Despite the pain dancing through your veins you glared up at the crook and bared your fangs at him, âYou can kill me but like hell Iâm letting you touch my baby!â, you growled, your primal omegan instincts kicking in as the stupid alpha glared down at you. Your body hovered protectively over your five month old baby as you bared your small canines to the threatening male above you. The man chuckled deeply throwing his head back in a holler, he sighed and pressed the gun to your head smiling at you just as he was about to pull the trigger.
He cried out in pain as the gun jammed and exploded in his hand, a sharp batarang having lodged itself into the ground next to you. You realized that you were all safe and whimpered from the stress, you quickly picked up your pup and rushed along side the escaping hostages that were lead out of the building by Batgirl and Red Robin. Gun shots echoed behind you but you didnât dare look back, not until you knew your baby was safe. Your soft honey ginger ale scent caught the attention of the two heroes leading you to safety, it calmed your baby who had the uncanny resemblance to someone they knew all to well.
âMaâam please follow the rest of the group donât fall behind. Commissioner Gordon will keep you safe and have your injuries checked.â, Red Robin ordered you sternly gently touching your shoulder to help push you along.
You nodded and rushed along practically begging the paramedics to check your Babyâs health even as blood trickled down your face. You were both passed with a clean bill of health as Batman and the other heroes disappeared into the night leaving the robbers tied up together on a nearby light post. From above a bat hooded figure watched over you, heat burning through his veins while his heart raced against his chest like a speeding locomotive. Oh how he wished to throw himself from the rooftop and snatch you away from all those people.
âI know Iâm not crazy, it was her without a doubt.â
âYeah but she had a baby, (Y/n) didnât have a baby when she left or started with us.â
âA single mateless omega? Mustâve been tough for her to take care of the baby for this long.â
âDoesnât the pup have green eyes?â, Batman asks quietly not once taking his eyes off of you even as you get in a taxi and disappear again.
Tim smiles and hands him a small device that shows him your exactly location, âGo get her and drag her back.â, he chuckles. The team disappear into the night while you return to your small home on the safer side of Gotham. Your head hurts, your body is sore, but still you pump out that sweet happy scent that you have for your pup. Your cab driver announces your arrival and you thank him for getting you home safe before paying him. Despite being exhausted youâre just happy youâre both safe, you feed your sweet baby girl one last time and lay her in her crib leaving her asleep in the room. You make yourself a cup of coffee to wake yourself up since you still had some college homework to finish. You arenât aware of the black Ferrari pulling into your front yard, the intense scent of oak wood and mint begins to fill the air as soon as the driver exits the vehicle.
âHere you are, Omega.â
Your omega catches the scent quickly, you purr unintentionally and slap your hand over your mouth out of embarrassment. Your body starts to warm up and move on itâs own pulling you towards the door where you finally realize whatâs going on. Thereâs a soft knock at the door and a deep soothing call of your name resonates from the other side making your heart race. Itâs Damian, youâre terrified knowing heâs there but your Omega is about to rip herself out of your skin if you deny her her mate. Your shaky hand reaches for the doorknob and you open it revealing those deep emerald eyes you fell in love with all that time ago. Damian watches your small body shudder to his scent, a shaky breath escaping your lips as you step back.
âOmega.â, he calls softly leaning forward to hug you.
His grip is suffocating but not overbearing, youâre overwhelmed but happy in a way. Damian lets his instincts take over scenting your neck that you happily present to him, mixing your complementing scents together while you purr for him. He hugs you tighter pressing your bodies together as close as he could, âHabibti you have no idea how Iâve longed for this day.â, Damian sighs kissing your pulse point softly, âIâve finally found you beloved.â
You hum to him completely drunk off of his presence and scent, you almost forgot you were supposed to be afraidâŠalmost. You pull yourself out of your drunken state and slowly push yourself away, Damian hates that you do going as far as to growl at you until he notices the change in your body language. Youâre on the verge of tears unsure of what to do, you have so much to say to him but it wonât come out and youâre scared about what to tell him about your baby.
â(Y/n), why did you run away? Why did you leave me, did I do something wrong?â, he asks you quietly, carefully making his way to you.
Damian offers you his hands, you smile at how small your own look in them and try to compose yourself while his thumbs gently brush over your knuckles.
âIâm sorry I had to leave. I made a mistake helping you that night, I know you were just following your instincts. I shouldâve taken my suppressants or asked Alfred to leave instead of staying with you that night. You probably regret wasting your first rut on someone like me.â, you admit quietly, âIâm scared, scared that you wouldâve thrown me away once you found out I was pregnant and even more scared thinking that I wasnât a good enough mate for you. Youâre nothing like me, polar opposites, your pedigree wouldnât have let us be together. I love you so much but I couldnât let you be stuck with someone like me so I ran away..â
Youâre in tears as you confess your feelings to him, Damian holds you close listening to your heartbroken sobs but heâs had his answer for a long time now. He wants you, wants his pup, wants to be a family with you.
âIt was selfish of you to leave without letting me put in my word about the situation. (Y/n) ever since you started working for us I was drawn to you, you were patient, caring, stubborn, humble, selfless, and loving. Everything I wanted in a mate, I didnât know what true love was growing up as a child but when I met you I finally learned what true love was.â, Damian smiles cupping your cheeks in his hands and presses a passionate kiss against your lips.
You melt into his touch remembering the night you two stupidly confessed to one another. His soft moans and declarations of love replaying in your head the longer the kiss played out.
âI love you.â, he chuckles against your lips.
He continues kissing you making your touch starved omega purr in bliss. Damianâs certainly mellowed out since the last time youâd seen him, heâs no rude or arrogant like before certainly still a bit controlling but loving nonetheless. A small cry catches both of your attentions, youâre forced to pull away and return to your room where your baby sleeps. Damian follows after you his instincts driving him to meet his pup and comfort them. As soon as he sees the (h/c) haired baby girl he falls in love with you all over again. Her small head rests comfortably on your shoulder, soft coos spill from your lips slowly motivating her to return to sleep.
âSheâs gorgeous, absolutely perfect.â, Damian says out loud.
You turn to him smiling and ask who he refers to. He chuckles and goes to hug you again being careful not to wake his daughter.
âCome back home with me. I refuse to live another day without you by my side. Let me mark you as my life mate and cherish you for the rest of my life.â, he begs softly staring passionately into your eyes.
You smile softly at him and nod to his request, âAre you sure you wonât regret this?â, you ask quietly.
Damian pecks your lips once again completely drunk off the sweet butterscotch lip balm that coated them, âIâve refused twenty two omegan candidates in the past year while I searched for you. (Y/n), you are the only woman I want in my life and nothing and no one will change that.â
Your face flushes from ear to ear and Damian canât help but chuckle at your flustered expression. You let him hold his baby while you pack your things, he absolutely dotes on the child whispering all his apologies and plans to his little Princess, as soon as youâre packed Damian takes your things and takes them to his car. He sees youâre still hesitant from your spot on the porch but he smiles at you and calls your name once again. Something about the way he says it makes your heart race and you find yourself at his side once again. Youâre home again within the hour and everyone welcomes you home, his brothers all argue for turns to hold their baby niece, his sister fawning over the infant while they hold her, and Alfred and Bruce welcome you home and apologize for not noticing what had happened to you sooner. Damian whisks you away while the others watch over your baby, he takes you to his room and slowly begins to push you towards the bed.
âIâve missed you. I wonât let you get away ever again.â, he growls playfully.
He kisses your neck over and over again making you squirm underneath him, heâs aware that marking usually hurts so much more for an omega outside of heat but he knows exactly how to kickstart your heat for him.

âBeloved, I want another pup. I want a whole litter. Please give me another baby to dote over.â, he begs softly watching your inner omega melt to his demand.
