Hey, Thundergoat. What's this I hear about a New Year? Is there drinking involved, like our normal New Year? Some of those gems and shit would be nice, too.
It's the Lunar New Year, Sips! And of course, what kind of celebration would it be without some wine? I do presume you have such drinks stashed away for every occasion. : )

Happy Lunar New Year, everybody!
This will be the year of the ram, or the wood ram to be precise. To celebrate this new year, I will be handing out red packets. Traditionally, these packets have money in them, although in this world we have emeralds, do we not? If I have forgotten you, I do apologize - take this moment to ask me for one, perhaps.
May this new year be a good year to you all! : )

"Well look who's back." Lying tutted, manifesting himself sitting atop Kirin's shoulders with his thin legs dangling over the storm sage's chest. "So, do tell what you have been up to..."
Completely and utterly without a trace of anything suggesting more than innocence and without missing a beat, Kirin said, “Did you really miss me that much, friend? Why, I’m quite flattered at the thought of you pining away for my eventual return!”
He patted Lying’s leg. “I was preparing for the new year,” he said. “It seems to have snuck up on us all too suddenly, so I was preoccupied with… tidying up, shall we say. It’s always important to clean, to pay your respects and to resolve all debts before the year is over, you know.”
Sharp fangs nipped playfully at Kirin’s hand but Lying gently pressed his cheek against it.
"Year of the wooden goat?" Lying snickered, grabbing onto the sage’s antlers. "You’ve got the goat part down but I’m not so sure about you having wood." He couldn’t help but laugh at his clever joke.
"In all seriousness though, it sounds intriguing."
Kirin didn't flinch at all, his smile widening at the touch. The sensation of his horns being grabbed didn't feel wholly unpleasant, either.
"Oh, Lying, I have plenty of wood! Especially in the early hours of the day." He kept the straightest of faces as he said those words, even knowing that there were no audience for his expressions. "It is a fascinating holiday, though. When I was young, they would dress up as lions and attack cabbages hung above doorways. For the luck, they said. Silly, but fun."
He moved his hand slightly, as if stroking Lying's face.
"I haven't celebrated it in a while."

"Why would I miss you? I’m perfectly fine by myself. I just didn’t have anyone to pester and tease at." Lying rolled his eyes, resting his narrow chin in the fluff of Kirin’s golden blonde tufts of hair. "Though I must admit I might have to accompany you on this new year event; it might be fun."
Although it was quite unseen by Lying, Kirin smiled quite genuinely at those words. He stretched and started walking, holding onto the witch's legs to prevent him from falling off - not that he would, perhaps.
"No one else could hold your attention?" he said, amusement dancing at the back of his voice. "Perhaps I should consider myself lucky that I seem to be the object of such affections."
He reached up to scratch the base of an antler. His fingers wandered over to touch Lying's face, lingering there for a slight second before he lowered his hand - an accident?
Possibly.
"The new year should be quite fun," he said. "It's important to ensure things start with ease. Oh, did you know what year it will be, Lying? This kind of year only comes around every sixty years, although I'm sure you know about it.
This will be the year of the wooden goat."
His smile didn't change.

"Heeey! Your horns are like mine!" Lateem called, spotting the Storm Sage from a distance. With a grin, the troll skipped over and jumped in front of Kirin. In actual fact, Lateem had antlers like Kirin, but not the ram horns (twistedtimegame)

"Indeed," said Kirin. He smiled down at the gray skinned stranger, noting the similarity in colouration to that dirt magnate that Xephos so often colluded with. "Mine aren't so... native to this body. Do you claim descent from the creatures of the forest, too?"
It's a rather silly tradition, but I rather think you'd appreciate this. Happy Valentines, Nano! -{ he gives you a box of chocolates, intricately formed into the shape of red panda faces! }-

A fair while. Most telekinesis spells aren't so fine-tuned for chocolate, but the level of detail that can be achieved is quite amazing, don't you think? If you'd like, I could show you how to set some spells like that. : )
Although it would be wise to exercise a fair amount of caution. Some out there are not so kind as I, Nano. Beware witches bearing apples - they are the easiest fruit to enchant.
Delicious, though. But I digress. How goes your Valentines, other than my humble gift?
