(Bunny Mod: Posting this without my comments first because I don’t want to make an already long post longer. I’ll post my comments in a little bit!)
Thank God you don’t remember me. Our encounters weren’t that good, honestly.
I wanted to note that I didn’t do this out of spite for Becca. We might’ve not gotten along in the past, but I don’t feel anything for her anymore. I just did this to get out of my art block, and because it’s fun to draw/redesign Mary-Sue OCs. Also, keep in mind I haven’t watched Regular Show in about 2-3 years, so this info might be irrelevant/outdated.
Design: Becca’s original design is pretty good, to be honest. If it weren’t for her hair color, she’d look like any other human in Regular Show. A bit plain, though. But I don’t think someone who is in their twenties (I’m assuming) would like to get into a relationship with an old person like Pops, unless it’s for money or something. It just looks weird. Even worse, considering he’s very childlike, and (I’m guessing) she’s supposed to be more mature than him. I decided to make her older– about 67 years old. That way their relationship would look less awkward (at least for me). I tried to make her look older, yet still beautiful. And her new attire was based off of 50’s women’s fashion. At first I thought it’d make her look too much like a old person trying to be young (which I was intending to do), but I think it looks lovely on her. As for her hair, I decided she would try to stay young (in appearance, that is), so she dyed her hair a “cool” color. Her favorite color, aside from pink, is blue (in my version) so she decided to dye it blue. (though, because of the lighting I used, it might appear purple)
Bio: Firstly, let’s get rid of the half angel/half human stuff, cause it doesn’t make sense to me. Instead, she’s just a human. I also decided to change her last name to Lorenzo because the name “Becca Luna” doesn’t sound that good, makes her seem even more sue-ish (to me), considering she’s supposed to be an angel.
Anyway, she doesn’t work at the park. She works at a bakery nearby the park. She loves baking sweets, and making her customers happy. Her bakery isn’t that famous, due to the fact that sometimes she’s too busy talking on the phone, interacting with customers, etc. that she forgets about the food and overbakes it. That usually leaves customers angry, and some tend to not give her another chance.
She sometimes visits the park, but doesn’t get along with everyone. She finds Muscle Man and Hi Five Ghost appalling, and she doesn’t like that Mordecai and Rigby slacks off and are too… dudebro-ish. She also thinks Benson should learn to control his temper some more, as well, but otherwise, she’s fine with him. While she thinks Pops can be a little childish at times, she enjoys his company and loves him with all her heart.
Despite her trying to stay young, appearance-wise, she misses the old days, and acts like a typical old-fashioned lady. She adores people with manners, dreams of being a house-wife, and all the things that comes with 50’s-era views. (I haven’t done too much research on that decade.) She was raised to act like a “proper lady” so she doesn’t tolerate Mordecai, Rigby, Muscle Man, and HFG’s behavior, but sees potential that M&R can change with time (unlike MM + HFG).
Unlike the original Becca, she doesn’t know Margaret, Eileen, Starla or CJ, and doesn’t care for them as she’s not too mindful with M&R’s activities. She does, however, feel bad that Audrey dumped him (for whatever reason), but blames it on Benson’s anger issues, reminding him that he needs to control it.
When she’s not working, she loves inviting her friends over and gossiping with them, knitting, watching videos and playing games on the internet, and watching TV.
That’s all I have I think this story might be a little contradictory, what with her wanting to look young, yet have the personality of an old lady, but I didn’t know where to go with her character. Most of my characters are young, so I dunno how to write old people. I hope this was good, though, even if it strayed too far from the original Becca.
I tried to keep her love for Pops intact, because I personally don’t believe that shipping your OC with a canon character makes your OC a Mary-Sue, as long as it’s done right. Plus, it’s not inherently bad for her to visit the park sometimes, as long as she also has a life away from the park (which I hope she does– again, this isn’t my character so I don’t have too much planned for her). But I think her getting along with MM + HFG (and even Mordecai and Rigby) seemed too unrealistic, considering she seems too girly for people like that.
Feel free to point out what needs fixing. I’m not that good at developing characters, but I tried.
