Definitions from the Ace Week website:
Asexuality is a sexual orientation where a person experiences little to no sexual attraction to anyone and/or does not experience desire for sexual contact.
Demisexuality is an orientation where a person can only experience sexual attraction if a strong emotional bond is present. Demisexuality is often considered a type of gray-asexuality.
Gray-asexuality is an orientation where a person finds that asexuality describes a lot of their experiences, but that it doesn't fit perfectly. Someone who is gray-asexual may experience sexual attraction rarely, only under specific circumstances.
The term asexual spectrum encompasses all of the identities related to asexuality, including asexuality itself, demisexuality, and gray-asexuality. The word ace is a shorthand for the identities that fit within the asexual umbrella, and may also be used to describe a person who identifies with the asexual umbrella.
This is actually so messed upâŚMaking African women use substandard hygiene products is absolutely ridiculous

DO NOT SUPPORT SALVATION ARMYÂ
I can back this up. It isnât only their shelters.
I have a family friend who worked at our local Salvation Army headquarters as a a secretary. This particular office took all the Christmas donations for children in need, put them in a warehouse, and on a designated day the staff and their friends picked through them all, taking whatever they wanted. She saw people hauling away bikes donated for specific families. Some local children had hundreds of dollars of gifts donated in their name, and on Christmas they received three cheap things, items likely not even from the person who sponsored them.
My friend quit, and Iâve not given them a dime of my money since then.
Do not give to the Salvation Army.
Do Not. Give. To. Salvation. Army
My turn.
Iâm a wildfire and disaster logistics specialist.
I deal with a lot of agencies who provide disaster relief.
I used to say the Salvation Armyâs disaster services were the one (literally the ONE) good thing they did.
They would come in, set up a canteen trailer, make and pass out hot coffee and donated food in a disaster, usually being one of the first agencies to get there and the last to leave.
Then I found out.
Every time they did this, regardless of if they were actually invited or deployed by the agency in charge (usually FEMA, sometimes others) they would SELF-DEPLOY. Meanjng they would just show up. Ok. Thatâs not TOO bad, sometimes agencies have to take initiative and get there before the red tape is sorted out. BUT. They, after they left at the end of the incident, they would send FEMA or the host agency a BILL. They used one or two paid employees (usually the driver of the truck and a supervisor); and many VOLUNTEERS, but they would bill for EVERYONEâs Labor at standard federal rates. They would bill for the food they distributed even though it was all donated by another agency or private parties. They would bill for the coffee they made and the supplies. Except they would use electricity from the shelter location, water from donations or from the shelter, and in many cases, they would get the coffee and industrial filters DONATED, but bill for them at retail prices.
Donât FUCKING give to the Salvation Army.
So I read an article today where the BBC interviewed the Untitled Goose Game developers and they referred to the goose with singular they/them pronouns in:
The goose isnât morally righteous. The goose sits outside of human morality. They arenât causing trouble because itâs the right thing to do⌠theyâre doing it because theyâre a goose.

ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
I noticed there isnât one here for Ireland, so
Irish free suicide helpline: 01-116 123
last time i reblogged this, i got this ask:
so please, please reblog. this could actually save a life.
keep yourselves safe!
Please friends! If you EVER need someone to talk to, Iâll be here, it may not be an immediate response, but know that Iâll get around eventually
if sheâs your girl why is she infiltrating area 51 with me
Because our relationship is good like that.
Because I love her, but donât need to be by her side every minute.
Because sheâs a healthy, well rounded, person with her own separate interests, that I fully support but donât need to take part in.
thanks for respecting women bro
Another popular one, especially in wealthier families, was that your son would âmove to Europe,â and then a few months later your ânieceâ would move into town and live in his old bedroom.
Trans isnât new. We just have to know how to look for it in history.
Just as a reminder: the reason we donât see a lot of trans history is because it was actively erased. Literally.
Germany had a thriving LGBTQ community in the early 20th century, before the Nazis came around. Germans, specifically Magus Hirshfeld, literally coined the term âtranssexualâ and performed the first modern SRS in the 1920âs. Then the Nazis came and sent them all to camps and burned their books. One of the first major Nazi book burnings was the library of the Institut fĂźr Sexualwissenschaft. We were purposefully erased from history.
Weâve always existed, and the people that oppose our existence need to know who theyâre in company with.
That library was made and most of all the research was done by a Jewish man, please do not erase that, because thatâs the biggest reason the Nazis burned it down
