If you've ever thought about how you're not the same person you were when you were younger, you might be able to see that people don't really exist outside the mind. Assuming you're older than 5, in what sense are you the same person you were when you were five? And if you weren't the person you were at five you might begin to see that there's no point at which you can objectively say that you became who you are in this exact moment. Because you can break it down into smaller and smaller increments: you aren't the you of a year ago, of one day ago, of one second ago, etc. because to the extent you exist at all, it's just as the subjective idea of a person and not the entity that that idea tries to refer to.
