I'm writing a fanfiction of this because the setting is SO COOL and the characters are AMAZING and I'm realizing I'm writing in a bunch of assumptions - which, I mean, is fine; it's a fanfiction, so it doesn't need to follow the rules, but I WANT it to, so I'm interested in learning more about the setting to make it more "accurate."
Again, no need to answer questions if they're too spoilery or going to be in the comic or even just not something you want to have an answer to yet, but, question the first:
How is the country or countries of the world structured? Mostly, is APSA part of the government, or is it separate? One of the assumptions I made is that it's part of the government, but I can easily see it being a club instead, more like a martial arts dojo. Also, does the world or planet have a name?

I'm not entirely sure how to answer the questuon of how countries are structured-- they're as diverse in universe as they are in our world! The main country that the setting takes place in is for now, structured very similarly to the united states! (Just because that's where I'm from and it's what's most familiar to me!)
APSA is recognized, funded by, and obviously governed by the government, however it's not considered as an official government owned facility-- it's been around much longer than the current government system, and the people in charge refuse to allow it to be conglomerated into something so unstable. It still receives funds from the government however on account of how essential it is
