Alexander gently reached for her wrist and held it for a couple of seconds. He ran his thumb against her skin before letting out a sharp breath. â..Iâd rather not spend my evening with an illusion.â He let go of her wrist and began reciting a spell to try and get rid of her. He found his voice shaky at first, before clearing his throat and continuing.
Nicole held the loving gaze as his gentle caress wavered over her wrist. Her free hand reached up to cup his face, looking at him confused from the words he was uttering. "Illusion? Honey, have you been working long hours again at the office? I tell you, it's a wonderful thing to help people, but you can't save the world by yourself. You need to take care of you..." she managed to get by, before instantly feeling weakened.Â
Jericho faltered from where he stood. The spell wasn't weakening him, but it was weakening his illusion. He didn't like it one bit, but he had to give the Mayor credit -- he was stronger than he thought. He let the illusion disappear, and let the Mayor take a breather, before appearing before him again. "I thought it'd be less of a fight there, after all. I was giving you a gift." he commented with a smirk to the side, eyeing the Mayor down.
