Me: “why would we get a robot. Why don’t we just use a big ass spear that shoots out of the wall and kills people”

My friend “..you can’t just. but. noooo…”

I think this is a good metaphor for “why would you rather do something in a complicated way that has many flaws when there exists a much simpler solution that’s more easily achieved”
