Jean-Claude Van Damme is getting his on TV series. This time he will playing a version of himself....again.
The show is actually called Jean-Claude Van Johnson and follows JCVD as it is revealed that his acting career is just a cover and he is really a private contractor. In addition, other actors are also undercover agents.
The official synopsis: "Jean-Claude Van Damme comes out of retirement to put on once again the mantle of his alter-ego, undercover private contractor Jean-Claude Johnson. “Johnson’s” cover as the lead role in a re-imagined action film version of “Huckleberry Finn” lands him right back in the midst of the danger he secretly always craves–but most importantly, back in the orbit of Vanessa, his fellow operative and the woman he loves."

Production I.G (the company that brought us Attack on Titan, Ghost in the Shell and Blood: The Last Vampire) is teaming up with Netflix for a brand new anime series.
Perfect Bones will be "directed by Kazuto Nakazawa, the 12-episode series is set in the future where scientists have tried to create the “perfect human” in hopes of keeping peace in the universe. After nearly achieving their goal through several children, the scientists send their “new humans” for further training where they are kidnapped by an evil organization set on using their powers to implement their own concept of a new world order."

The 1977 horror film Rabid is going to be remade, not only that, but it is also going to have a follow up TV series as well.
And in case you are unaware of this retro gore: it's about a woman who, after being in a horrible motorcycle accident, gets plastic surgery which includes gaining a stinger under her armpit. A stinger she uses to drink the blood of her victims who then turn into rabid zombies.

A pilot episode of Stephen King's The Mist has been ordered.
It will use both the novella and the film adaptation to tell an original story about the phenomenon, a seemingly harmless mist with hidden horrors that pervades a small town and terrifies the residents.

Still need your fix of The X-Files after the finale? Well new novels plan to follow teenage Mulder and Scully in the late 1970s.
There will be two books, each story will focus on one character and the life-changing events that set them on the path to become future paranormal investigators in the spring of '79. The Mulder-focused story is dubbed Agent of Chaos while Scully’s tale is Devil’s Advocate.
