things i realised while doing research on Stuff
1) i can write a protocol for taking all the quads being rendered and send them to another veado instance, thus enabling collabs without necessarily sending the entire .veado file meaning people can't steal your avatar (as it tends to happen with live2d collabs) (textures would still be needed to send though so maybe pngtubers would still be vulnerable to that)
2) i can take that protocol and serialize an entire session of veado into an animation clip file that can be replayed and exported as another format, including svg meaning you can take that thing to the web
3) i can make it so that veado also runs a local http server that renders the avatar as svg in real time, and then obs can use it as a browser capture source, in case none of the other transparency capture options work
1 is interesting and i'll probably be messing with it at some point as collabing is already a planned feature. 2 is more in case i start adding more non-live features to veado after the main thing is done (veado is more focused on live, real time usage, for my own sanity). i have no idea if there's actual demand for 3 as spout already exists and mac users are getting syphon support soon, maybe linux users will like it? but also 1 & 3 might be unnecessary if i happen to add ndi support, anyway idk hi
Looking forward to the updates. I didn't think the collab feature would be a thing so that's a pleasant surprise. @kadlebug and @krisyona1994 and I will definitely take advantage of that. I'm mainly waiting for the Stream Deck connectivity. Once that is live I'll update my whole setup.
