How the Warlords react to MC waking from a nightmare
I vaulted straight up, the covers flying off my body as I tried to ground myself. My hands grabbed at what I thought was the futon when I felt something warm until my left palm.
“Mm, Natsuki?” My boyfriend barely slept until I started sharing the bed with him, and now I’d disturbed him as embarrassment washed over me entirely. His hand clasped at mine before I could move it and rubbed at his sleep filled eyes with the other. He was now lying on his back, his sleeping robe gaping open across his chest and all of his attention was on me.
“It’s nothing,” I shrugged and then forced a smile at him. “Go back to sleep, you have a war council in the morning,” I reminded him.
I went to get up, only to be pulled back into him. Nobunaga was still half asleep and refusing to let me go anywhere. Unofficially, I was his teddy bear, he couldn’t sleep well without me, to the point I had learnt skills as a healer to help on the battlefield so he could get some rest overnight at battles.
“Nothing doesn’t cause you to scream and then bolt away,” he murmured, brushing his lips over my forehead.
“Just a bad dream,” I mumbled, not wanting to revisit it.
“Tell me about it, and then I will make all of your demons disappear,” he stated. His confidence was astounding, but I never doubted his ability to follow through.
“You never came home,” was all I could muster to say, burying my head into the crook of his neck.
A chuckle escaped his throat before he could stop it.
“I will always come home to you fireball,” he promised, making sure he was holding me tightly. “Now go to sleep, I will unify Japan,” he stated, drifting back off.
