This year at Metrocon 2014 we are holding auditions for the panel:

ATTACK ON METRO: SHINGEKI NO ASK

Humanity is at the brink of extinction. The titans have taken over wall Maria and their rampage is growing. The Survey Corps has so many questioned that are left unanswered, so many mysteries unsolved. Well now’s your chance! Find out the answers to the questions you have been DYING to know from your favorite characters at Attack on Metro: Shingeki no Ask

This panel will be a Q&A panel and we are looking for a full cast. Our time slot is Saturday afternoon at 5:00 in Panel Room 16

Although we do have some spaces filled at the moment, there is plenty of opportunity to try out and get in. We are coming close to the actual con time so we wanna get as many people on as possible.

Basic Craft Foam Attack on Titan 3DMG Blade Tutorial

Disclaimer: By no means is this most exact or realistic way to make 3DMG but it makes due for a fairly decent con-safe cosplay prop that doesn’t weigh a ton or cost a fortune. This tutorial is only for the blades, but you can use the same basic principles and materials to make most of the other parts as well.

What you are going to need:

1 36” sheet of white foam board (from Michael’s)

1-2 (12” x 18”) sheets of white craft foam (I used Creatology Fun Foam)

Black acrylic paint

White acrylic paint

Brown acrylic paint

Silver 3D fabric paint (in the little squirt bottles for detailing)

Silver metallic paint (I used Dazzling Metallics by DecoArt)

Exacto-knife

Glue gun (make sure you have lots of glue sticks)

2 black pipecleaners

Fine tip black sharpie

Small paint brushes

Pencil

Tracing paper (or regular printer paper works as well)

1 small sheet of sand paper

Here you go! Out of the kindness of my heart I handmade a FREE PRINTABLE TEMPLATE AND INTSTRUCTIONS FOR 3D MANEUVER GEAR! It is just the back piece but I will do more tutorials and templates when I am not BROKE because that took me several hours to make. 

If some people buy commissions of the gear from me (send an ask if you are interested) I will make tutorials for the other parts of the gear and stuff (maybe even costume pattern if I make enough money). 

I did all of the math for you (stay in school kids, one day you will need that calculus and geometry homework) so it should be pretty easy, but if you have questions or a problem or just want to pay me to do it for you, send me an ask.
