Hey I saw your animations and it really inspired me into finally trying to animate! I've wanted to animate for a while put my brain is just not able to handle long committments, so I've never moved past the storyboarding stage lol.

I wanted to ask, when you draw your frames, how big of a canvas do you use? I don't even know if it's relevant but I've been trying to Google it everywhere and I failed. Also if you want to disclose any other secrets/tips I would really appreciate it lol<33

I use 1920 x 1080 px

Tip wise… (what worked for me as a HOBBYIST)

1. I’d draw some sort of arc/path for a movement to follow. As in-

(WIP. Lol have Kayne doing weird stuff cuz he’s silly enough for tons of arcs)

2. Labels and folders for layers

John has his own folder cuz he’s got *special effects*

(3. I reuse backgrounds)

4. Break down large projects into smaller + manageable ones. (Argh ‘running the show’ killed me cuz I animated everything in one go.) I’ve got mixed feelings for this tip though. It’s up to you

5. A deadline. It’s surprisingly helpful.

Aaand for motivation I use apps to track + record progress. To tick boxes. For fun.

A compilation of stuff I know about drawing Asian faces and Asian culture! I feel like many “How-To-Draw” tutorials often default to European faces and are not really helpful when drawing people of other races. So I thought I’d put this together in case anyone is interested! Feel free to share this guide and shoot me questions if you have any! I’m by no means an expert, I just know a few things from drawing experience and from my own cultural background.
