a while ago i had an interesting dream, i finally finished drawing it.

this guy and his sapient talking dog were explorers of this harsh underground realm and more familiar with it than i was. i got the vibe that the dog was the brains of the operation. i commented on how i seemed to be hallucinating bright swirls of color and the guy said i'd get used to it. we tried to take an elevator and it fell, which was very jarring but we were alright.

Voiceclaim is like when you decide your character sounds like someone real, right? I don’t really have that, partially because I feel weird associating real people with my imaginary paper dolls like that but also partially because for Pepe I have such a spesific idea in my mind and no-one I know sounds like that lmao. I imagine she has this somewhat mid-pitched voice that’s kinda naturally raspy and strained, and cracks easily whenever she gets excited or loud, maybe with a hint of nasal vibes, too. If I had to use an example, I think Elli Haloo is close (link leads to an interview) but Pepe wouldn’t sound quite so, uhhh feminine (? for the lack of a better word) as a default.

One thing I appreciate in Malevolent is that you hear John's laugh for the first time and sounds very ominous so you think "oh it must be hinting at his malevolent (heh) nature" and then he gets a giant character arc and

he still laughs like that.

Like his laugh is just really evil sounding. He's a good guy now but he still laughs like a supervillain while agreeing to pull a prank on someone. 10/10 character detail

i found this animal dingbats font!!! https://www.1001fonts.com/win-pets-2-font.html most of them are kind of fugly but the snake is beautiful and perfect in every way, the moment i saw it i knew i had to make it into my avatar. i love 1001fonts, they have a couple hundred weird dingbat fonts which are all very early 2000s.
